I booked the George Hotel as a friend of mine had visited earlier this year, however after I booked I read the reviews and I was a bit apprehensive, hence the reason I am leaving this review. Overall our stay was pleasant and satisfactory. The hotel is in a great location and situated quite close to the train station. Hotel cleanliness is good and I highly recommend the breakfast - great value for money. Most of the staff are very nice, especially the guy at reception who checked us in (the blonde lady at reception would do with some smiling and people skills though!). The only downfall is that there is no lift.

Great weekend had at the George Hotel. The room was lovely and just what we were looking for, breakfast was spot on each morning and the staff were friendly and happy to help with anything, especially Natalia she was a life saver. I would stay here again if I was back in London. The hotel is in a great location and walking distance from a lot of the the tourist hot spots.

My Husband and I stayed at the George Hotel on the 2nd and 3rd of Sept for part of our Honeymoon . Check in was ok. Room was tiny , no closets to put luggage, no microwave, no fridge, NO AIR CONDITIONING and mind you we were 3 flights up so it was burning hot in our room. Tiny fan that didn’t cut it. One towel, no toiletries. Bed was comfortable enough though. Sunday Monday the house keeping lady bursts into our room while my Husband and I were completely NAKED laying in bed. Not a split second after she banged on the door did she burst in the room !! We didn’t even have a second to respond!! No apology or anything! We went downstairs after getting dressed and approached the receptionist and informed her that we were not happy that housekeeping burst into our room while we were naked in bed. The receptionist was extremely rude and defensive and responded to me “well you don’t need to be angry about it” and “well you should have said you don’t want housekeeping “ 🤔 first of all we are a paying customer, her tone and demeanor and response was SOOO unprofessional that I told my husband we should leave and find another hotel. My husband tried to speak to her and let her know that I had every reason to be upset and she proceeded with “you said it 5 times already “. I would never recommend this place !! I wonder if it was racially motivated given my Husband is Black , who knows but it was awful never have I been so humiliated by a “Hotel” ! No accountability, no apology. Horrible.

My friend & I stayed over here in May and we really enjoyed our stay in this solid 3 star hotel. We kindly had our twin room upgraded to a twin double room on arrival. The bed was comfortable and the room & bathroom was clean. The location is brilliant as it made getting to Euston and King's Cross super easy. Only nitpick is that you had to go into the shower for the hand soap, but otherwise we had a good time.
