(A bunker costs 4500 jpy) This hostel has no lobby and no receptionists. Nobody maintains the order here. Also there is no elevator; so if you have really heavy luggage, good luck carrying that all the way to the 3rd floor. The rooms are locked by simple number locks so anyone could in fact get in very easily if they have the password. Like if you want to squeeze 6 guys on a bed, go for it because nobody is here to run this hostel. Also, there is a bar downstairs that plays very loud music till at least after 1:50 am. We thought we could give up sleeping and join their bar to at least have a little fun than sleep, but the waitress saw us and immediately told us that they’re fully booked and then kicked us out, like we’re not welcomed here. (Not sure if it’s a racist thing.) Also remember to bring a towel for showering because they do not offer any. Last thing, the upper bunker beds have no railings, so you better not move around during sleep or you might fall and hit the ground.

This is a cute quite place with a great price. It was great the beds weren't too hard, though they weren't really comfy either. There is a cost to rent a towel if you'd like one to wash your face or to dry off so be aware of that. It isn't much though. Over all I really like this place and the free breakfast was good. My only complaint was that the rule of lights out at 11pm wasnt enforced and I had to get up and shut the lights off myself because people were still being loud and the lights really do keep you up.

Stayed in the inn, above a cafe-by-day, bar-by-night. The bartender speaks a multitude of languages, so I enjoyed three-way conversations through her to the other patrons in the bar. All-in-all, a cozy little place to stay with 3 floors (women-only, men-only, and mixed). The only con is that each floor (~20 beds) only has one toilet and one shower, so if you visit during a busy period, you need to be flexible with your usage of those facilities. I usually like to pop down to the bar for a quick drink as I wait for the shower in the evenings.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Accommodations were clean and fired my needs. I was able to drop my bags off before check in. The only thing I would change is that there wasn't enough room to keep my large luggage with me, but it was stored for me in the cafe on the first floor. It was a minor inconvenience, but my stay was overall very pleasant and satisfying.

This place was really great. English speaking staff, clean rooms, decent lounge area, and an overall good location near Ikebukuro, with Otsuka and Itabashi being in walking distance. I'd skip the bar here and head to Shinjuku but the breakfast was decent. My only real complaint is the check in times. If you can't check in before 10pm you gotta pay an extra 30% to check in before 11pm, and if you can't do that you're just screwed. If this isn't a problem for you, this could potentially be one of the best hostels in Tokyo. Also this place has some killer iced coffee.
