It's a "Grand Hotel", but "grand" probably only refers to the size. The rooms are indeed very large and comfortable, and the staff is also professional and very friendly. Everything else is comparable to a simple hotel in a station area: breakfast is okay, but prosaic; between 10am and 4pm the lobby is "dead" (there is no tea etc.). But the location at the beginning of the pedestrian zone is outstanding.

A hotel from an era gone-by. While the rooms feel very old (they are!), they were kept very clean. The old fashioned bar at the ground floor is a very nice place to hang out in the evening though. Located right in the historical center, you're 5 minutes away from all major attractions in the city.

We are sad to have only one night in Luxembourg, but we're elated to be in the absolute best hotel! The location is perfect; we LOVE having a balcony, & the view is great! The room is very comfortable (very nice sheets & pillows), and there is a wonderful breakfast. The only thing that might be an issue for older travelers is difficulty getting into the shower as there are no grab bars, but we were able to navigate using the high bathtub sides.

We stayed here for 5 nights and the overall experience was nothing short of fantastic. The room was clean, pretty reasonably sized and had all amenities you would expect. The architecture and the overall retro feel of the place was an added plus. The staff were polite, friendly and professional. The buffet breakfast was good. The location was excellent with some fantastic views and at a walking distance to all the key highlights of the city. The elevators to the lower city were also nearby. Overall, this is a really good hotel and one that I would recommend.
