Green World Mai - NanJing

I booked two cozy double rooms at the hotel for my family. -------------------------------------------------------------- General Notes: - Check-in desk on the second floor - Only one elevator - No breakfast provided for Cozy Double Room - Toiletries were next to the check-in/reception desk, make sure to take some before going to your room - Eco-Cleaning/Housekeeping (changing towels, replenishing waters and teas) until 4th day of stay -------------------------------------------------------------- Hotel Staff: We checked in at 10:00 pm. At check-in, there was only one staff member to assist us but she was very nice and helpful as she tried to put us in rooms that were next to each other. When she couldn't make that happen, she put us one floor above each other in the same room. Our interaction was brief but she was very helpful in assisting us with such a late check-in with no prior notice. -------------------------------------------------------------- Amenities inside room: - Toiletries (individually packaged): Toothbrush & Small bottle of toothpaste (good for 1-2 use) Razor & Small Shaving Cream Shampoo Packet Body Wash Packet Comb Disposable Felt Material Slippers Shower Cap Floss Pick & Cotton Swabs - 2 Bottles of Water and Tea/Coffee Packets (refilled daily during housekeeping) - Bidet with various settings + self cleaning - Shower (adjustable water pressure shower head) + Bath combo - Universal charging outlets -------------------------------------------------------------- Amenities on 9th Floor: - No elevator access to 9th floor, must get off at 8th and walk stairs up to 9th - Floor not air conditioned - Gym consists of two machines: Treadmill & Arm/Shoulder Machine - Water-refilling station is next to the laundry machine - 1 Washer ($80) & 1 Dryer ($70) only accepts coins (can ask front desk for change), with laundry detergent not included ($30) -------------------------------------------------------------- Cleanliness: - Dust in certain untouched areas of the room: Window shades, corner of desk, shelves, etc - Mildew forming on blinds and blind’s lift cord in the shower - One small stain on bedsheets - Wallpaper was peeling - Stain on the ceiling - Had spotted one bug during our four night stay - Bathroom may get wet during showers due to flimsy curtain -------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, our stay was pleasant as the bed was nice and comfortable. The location is great as it is next door to the bank and the grocery store is just a block down. 7-11’s all around the hotel within a short ½ block walk. The bus stop is just right across the street and the MRT is 1.5 blocks away. It was a good value for our stay and we would stay here again.

The photos of the hotel are deceptive. They have another building across the street that looks legitimate, but this place is so sketchy, the lobby isn’t even on the first floor of the building. This is for the 163 Sec. 2, Nanjing East Road, Taipei, TW address. You have to enter through this tiny little doorway and take an elevator to get to the lobby. Check-in is supposed to be 3pm or later, and we arrived at 4pm, but they said our room wasn’t ready and suggested we leave for 15-20 minutes. We chose to stay in the lobby, and the room wasn’t ready for 40 minutes. This felt incredibly unprofessional, and we decided to switch our 4-night stay to just 1 night. Also, there is no breakfast service here even though “complimentary breakfast” is included on their site. They did not provide any soap or shampoo. The room smelled a little moldy, and the carpet is dirty. Would not recommend.
