The room is ok, but the carpet is quite old and has a few stains, you should wear slippers while in the room. Good service staff, both receptionists and housekeepers. Good location, easy to travel, close to both the MRT and bus stops. Importantly, it's near the night market too. You'll love it.

3 stars because it definitely didn't feel like a 4-star hotel. Room was fine, bit dated, but sufficient. Location wasn't as good as I thought it was, but still decent and good value for money.

Rooms are decently large, but wow this place is not very clean or well maintained. The carpets are stained everywhere you look, and the entire building is musty, damp, and overall kinda gross. Dehumidifiers are everywhere in hallways. Out room, which was specifically booked as NOT a windowless room, basically looked at another wall of the hotel itself. Really no view. But worst of all, the room had an electrical issue where two of the lights would not fully shut off no matter how many of the switches you hit, and one flickered all night. Staff didn’t address the issue or offer to change rooms and gaslit us to say we didn’t hit the right switch. It’s close to Main Station, but only the THSR and airport MRT. The red/blue metro lines are a long walk away, maybe 15+ minutes diagonally across Main Station.

Bad Review: I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. While the location was convenient, I encountered several issues during my stay. Firstly, the staff struggled to communicate in English, despite being fluent in Japanese. When I requested a replacement hair dryer, it took them 15 minutes to provide one. During my initial call, the staff didn't understand me and promised to call back but never did. I had to call them again, and a different staff member also had difficulty understanding me. Instead of bringing a hair dryer right away, she returned to the lobby to get one, causing unnecessary delays. Additionally, I attempted to borrow an ironing board, but I was told the entire hotel had only one, and it was already in use. This was surprising, considering the hotel serves numerous guests daily. It seemed that this hotel may cater primarily to Japanese-speaking guests, as their English communication skills were lacking. Furthermore, the breakfast selection was disappointing, and the actual room did not match the images displayed on the website. Good Review: On a positive note, the hotel's location near Taipei Main Station and its proximity to Ximending were excellent. It made exploring the city convenient and enjoyable.
