This hotel is so bad in many levels. I regret not reading reviews before I booked (and paid). There is no AC, granted they have fan, but you have to open the window to let air in and the noise was constant late into the night. If you’re a light sleeper, it’ll be hard to fall asleep. The building was never get remodeled since it was probably built in the 50’s. I’ve been in many hotels with old building but can still have nice experiences. The only thing provided is bath towel and hand towel, that’s it! Not even soap to wash your hands at the sink, let alone hair dryer!!! For the price they charge, I can’t believe how stingy they are with amenities!!! The town itself is great to visit. It’s an hour drive from Hobbiton and it have very active thermal springs all over town. The geological history of this place is fascinating. I’d love to come back to explore more but definitely not back to this hotel!

Nice, polite reception staff, and great price, so expected little. I got what I paid for. Mattress should have been replaced a decade ago, lights odd colours, creamer not milk, fan so broken it was dangerous, shower pressure and heat all over the place.... pools utterly filthy and unusable. Otherwise...fine. LOL.

A bit highly priced for the room that we got.. had various issues but we can't complain. Overall the room we got was quiet but had bugs coming in in the night for the lights in the bathroom. Utilities were outdated and had a electric leak from the oven. Greenview motel you need to get a refurbishment for your hotel which I'm sure more holiday-goers will appreciate very much, and you will do better business wise. Just a small idea from me.

The place is old and dated, I normally don’t care about this but the place looks like parts are nearly falling down. We asked for a laundry and was told there isn’t one available because the dryer does not work. Plan B, we will use the heater in front of our wet clothes on a chair. The heater burnt out in 15 minutes, inspected the plug and had visible burn damage on the active. Fridge was not plugged in when we arrived and was shut, so smelt off. Explanation for this was I told them to plug it in! The only positive was we needed accommodation when none was available, I see why now. If the owner took some pride, or swallowed some and spent $50k they might be able to reach those three stars as advertised. 1.5 Stars currently😔
