We booked for two nights but could not stay for more than a day. Very suspicious people keep visiting the hotel due to night clubs. not at all suitable for family. Receptionist keep looking for the ways to charge you more. Internet did not work in rooms and they ask us to stay in the lobby to use wifi. Never recommended.

The worst experience ever!!! The receptionist (elderly Asian lady) had an attitude as if she owned a chain of hotels. No sympathy nor empathy at all… On my arrival, they directly informed me that the hotel is sold out inspite of me having a confirmed reservation. I showed them the messages between me and the team mentioning that my room was confirmed but instead this lady yells and tries to convince me that she is apologising for the situation (while yelling). She also goes to mention that they have called another hotel nearby which is the “sister property” (it wasn’t, as when I checked in there the team laughed about it saying that Gulf Pearl reception has been saying this for a long time which is a big lie). To make things worse, I even overheard them quoting me on a statement made and laughed among themselves as I was leaving. Would never recommend this hotel to anybody. Rude and unprofessional staff at the reception.

They keep your passport illegally until you check out, and lie and say that all the hotels there do the same, which is not true. They charge foreigners double the price. The hotel to the right of them charges much less for the same quality, has free breakfast, an exercise room, and does not keep your passport.

Value for money hotel on a good location in Manama, close to the souk and the local and international busstation, but definitely not 4 stars. The interior, including the bathroom, is rather old. Even on the 5th floor it was very noisy due to the disco on the first floor. I didn't like the atmosphere outside the rooms as it was very dark (on the picture it seems light, but it's not!)
