Overall great experience with a few critiques. We did the 2 day 1 night. We were upgraded twice from our original room and ultimately ended up in the captains quarters room. The room is the best part of the cruise, without a doubt. The full floor to ceiling window and sliding door to your private balcony is breathtaking. Bathtub with a sea view was also mesmerizing and a huge bonus. Waking up with that view is worth the price of admission (which is not cheap we paid $500 for our 2 day 1 night stay). Having said this, for the price tag there are a couple points worth noting. English from the staff is almost non existent, as to be expected in Vietnam. Apart from our lovely cruise director and host who is super accommodating. The activities (kayaking, Muay Thai) were great, we really enjoyed these. Now for the kicker. The food and drink are a bit rough. The welcome buffet was excellent. Local plates, lots of variety, fresh and I can’t speak highly enough about it. From there you kayak for a few hours and the next meal isn’t until cocktail hour which was underwhelming after such a nice lunch. Fries, some fruit, but nothing to really hold you over until dinner which is not until 7:30pm. Dinner was…I hate to say this, rough. I would have preferred some local Vietnamese dishes and I think the chefs would do a better job with this than trying to serve “luxury” western plates. My last comment is on the cocktails. They are undrinkable. I really expect more for drinks on a cruise of this price. Stick to wine and beer (wine is $$$ but plentiful, offering an extensive list from around the world but it comes with a cost) Overall it was a great experience we absolutely loved it but the dinner and drinks could use some serious upgrades.

We booked a 2d1n cruise with transfer from and to Ha Noi included. We got picked up early in the morning, and we had a really nice driver. The boat and the rooms were very nice. The kayaking was quite fun. This is a more chill cruise, and it goes on a route without too much crowd. Taking 1 star off because the food was not that great at dinner, i would give a 4.5 actually, but Google doesn't allow that. The food demonstration was not that great, but it was good enough for spending time. We didn't try squid fishing. The next day, we did some Thai Chi, and then we visited some caves. We also had a nice lunch before the cruise ended. The views are exquisite, and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Overall, we had a really good time and we saw some really nice sights. The only downside to the nice view is the smell of gasoline coming from the boats. The ride back to Ha Noi was not as enjoyable because the driver was very rushed and careless, but I guess that is not surprising.

Trying for luxury, but not quite there. The arrival lounge was rather dank. I’ve seen better furnishings in motels, yet this is a boat charging 700 USD per night for two guests. The chef really tries hard — you can tell from the beautiful vegetable carvings and saucy swirls that decorate the plate. But ultimately, he needs more training, because the food didn’t always taste very good. It wasn’t offensive, but you can find tastier by walking into random restaurants in Hanoi or HCMC. The outings are weak. The Cat Ba Island excursion is incredibly boring if you choose to take the buggy. Half the visit shouldn’t be a briefing on a board. Instead of showing me pictures of monkeys, maybe bring us out to see one? Instead of talking about farmers, let us visit a farm? The Argentinean couple that travelled on the buggy with my mum were so bored, they didn’t even want to get out to for the last stop by the end. Kayaking was ostensibly guided, but no one taught my mum how to kayak. They just went at it. This boat is currently ~$200 overpriced given what it offers.

The ship is lovely and the rooms with private balconies are great. The reason for scoring a 4 is the rooms could have been a bit cleaner, there were stains on the funiture and the pool water level was too low. We enjoyed the itenary and didn't find the experience rushed as other reviews have said. The food was good and the staff were really friendly. We enjoyed the activities including the kayaking, boat trip and swimming. In general we would recommend this trip and boat.

We were picked up early just to wait at their port for almost 2 hours. First day activities were timed too far out, second day they rushed us for another activity before we had to check out at 9am. A staff member barged in to our room around that time while we were still packing… We were told to put our luggages at the front door to check out and get breakfast, I put my luggage and a bouquet of flowers out there. Once we got to the port, only my luggage arrived. When I asked the staff where the flowers were, they left clueless, didn’t respond accordingly and said they can’t do anything about it. No apologies or sincerity for someone’s belonging… They do not refill the lunch buffet, once the options were out— they didn’t add more.
