We stayed at Hocus Pocus York recently in the Apothecary Room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we got an amazing night's sleep. The room itself was filled with such attention to detail, creating an atmosphere that felt so authentic and magical. The location was perfect! York Shambles is just around the corner so very central. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful city and then had some drinks in Valhalla which was next door to the hotel. Overall, our experience at Hocus Pocus Hotel exceeded our expectations. It's clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating a space that provides not only comfort but also a sense of genuine character. We look forward to returning and exploring more of what this unique hotel has to offer!

We stayed at the hotel for one night and I have to say the place is absolutely stunning. The decorations and the attention for details is just marvelous. I loved basically everything and I felt the magic in every corner. The hotel is in an excellent position, with the main attractions and activities very close to it. The place was definitely clean and tidy. We stayed in the Lybrarium room which was just amazing. The décor was stunning, the attention to the details was just amazing. The room was clean and the bathroom was well furnished with everything. I loved the fact you could hear a spooky music everywhere during the day. Although, the double bed was quite uncomfortable and noisy. Also the room with the bunk beds was not the best choice for relaxing and watching TV as the bed is almost at the floor level and the TV is on the wall. Unfortunately we had a few guests going back and forth at night, some definitely drunk, who made a lot of noise all night long so we couldn't really sleep between the noise and the mattress. I have to say overall it was a great experience and we definitely want to go back and visit again. Maybe next time I'll try another room!!

Hocus Pocus is not just a hotel. It's an experience and one we will never forget! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were transported to a world of magic, not the Disney kind, but the real kind, steeped in history and mystery, the kind that sends shivers down your spine. We were mesmerised and felt very safe and cosy immediately. We were lucky enough to get a peek inside all five themed rooms which are a testament to the creativity and attention to detail that the owners have poured into this place. Each room is a masterpiece, with modern fixtures and impeccable bathroom facilities that ensure a comfortable stay. We stayed in the Apothecary room, and our time there was nothing short of amazing. The promise of an unforgettable experience was surpassed in every way. The atmosphere was so unique it's as if you're living in a storybook. This is the perfect place for couples seeking a romantic getaway (as we did) and families looking to add a touch of magic to their kid's imaginations. The central location in York makes it an ideal base for exploring the city, with the famous Shambles Street just a stone's throw away. At first, we were a little unsure about the self-check-in, but the process was super easy, and when we did speak to a member of staff on the phone, they were incredibly warm and accommodating, adding an extra layer of charm to our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind experience that combines comfort, magic, and an unbeatable location, Hocus Pocus Tiny Hotel is the place to be. We can't wait to return and experience the magic all over again!

November 20 2023 Just returned from a two night stay. The themed room we stopped in was amazing it definitely had the wow factor the huge four poster bed was very comfortable, the location was so central a 2 minute walk to the Shambles in one direction and a 2 minute walk in the opposite direction for the Christmas market If you’re into quirky rooms I’d definitely recommend this property
