Amazing hotel with with 5 star team. Checking in with a charming Nigerian front desk agent who multi tasks by also serving drinks and looking after the restaurant. The evening manager also puts in the graft Was there late in the evening and also there early for breakfast. Bravo. The rooms are immaculate and the hotel is well situated in Leith. The breakfast was very good as with the mornings service staff hospitality. Loved the team spirit especially in the morning. The quality of the bacon and sausage was super tasty. Loved the toast bread not the usual pan loaf. Very affordable and great value for money. Would definitely return. Thank you team holiday Inn.

The hotel is well placed close to Leith waterfront and the Britannia. It is close to a bus stop and the local tram station too. All other amenities are within walking distance. The rooms are good for a HI express. The staff are helpful and courteous.

When was this hotel last cleaned and the staff trained ? We stayed three nights and from the time we arrived until we left the hallway had boot prints on the carpet in the corridor and our room needed a deep clean with dust and cobwebs in the corners and the carpet heavily stained and needing a good clean ! The room was so cold we had to ask for a heating which in all fairness was supplied quickly by staff. On one of the nights I asked for a latte which was presented in a mug that was just about half full and when I queried this from the male member of staff who seemed to have an attitude problem his response was the the size of the measure as machine gives us the amount and we can’t change it ! Parking has to be paid for using an app or machine in foyer which didn’t recognise our number plate While the bed was clean large and comfortable the room needed some maintenance with hangers falling off the wall notes from previous guests and placed behind the curtain Overall not a good experience from this hotel - pull your socks up smile at customers be polite and remember it’s us who pay your wages and keep you in a job !

Our room was spacious and cleaned well. Located in a nice area as well, easy to get to central Edinburgh. I forgot my toothpaste and could get some from the reception (plus points). The hotel provides brochures you can look through if you're unsure what to do in Edinburgh/Scotland. The breakfast however was truly disappointing. The glasses smell like eggs (not properly washed), there's no cheese whatsoever, no veggies, etc. Would have liked some fried tomatoes, vegetables, or soft cheese, regular cheese, clean utensils and glasses. I truly had an awful experience after every breakfast and gagged while drinking. Learned quickly to bring my own bottle

Rooms were perfectly fine: nice bed, enough space, good shower! The breakfast leaves a little to be desired. Would have loved some meats or sliced cheese for the toast. Most of times bacon and eggs were empty due to demand, although they did get refilled fairly quickly. Location wise this hotel is really nice: it has a shopping centre across the street and a tram station alongside. Getting to the centre of Edinburgh takes like 10-15 minutes at most. There are some nearby activities as well, such as 2 distilleries and good dining locations! Certainly would recommend a stay here!
