Homewood Suites by Hilton Lake Buena Vista - Orlando

We stayed at this property, from 21st to 26th November, on our first ever visit to Orlando. Location of property was great. We had 2 rooms for our big family.Water supply had a foul odor, as if sewer water was supplied. We couldn't take shower or even brush our teeth. Made 2 complaints but no one bothered to attend to it.Also parking was charged at 25$ for 24 hrs which came as surprise. Will not recommend this property. Overall really poor experience.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on and off since it opened years ago it and its sister hotel next door the Hilton Garden Inn we just recently went back for a stay of four nights while I was working in Lake Buena Vista and this hotel has gone downhill unbelievably. There are many many other choices of hotels within 4 minutes of this place I strongly advise choosing elsewhere. Much to my surprise when we arrived at the hotel we found out that we now have to pay for parking and this is not disclosed anywhere in my reservation or was I notified of this when making my reservation through the Hilton Diamond desk. You have to go in to the app and go down four levels in hotel detail before you can find this and it is not even disclosed at checkout on a total stay page for your room reservation on the app I was infuriated by this and argued with the front desk over it. The hotel is not as clean as it used to be it is not as well run as it used to be. Breakfast in the morning was the same thing all four days that we were there and it truly looked like it was being presented like a slop house we left and went to IHOP each morning for breakfast. The place was so overbooked between them and the hotel next door between a convention and a soccer convention there were not enough parking spaces they literally had cars parked sideways behind cars in parking spaces one morning we could not back out of our parking space this is totally unacceptable. When confronting the front desk about it they said what would you like us to do we have two conventions here. Not the correct response especially to a lifetime diamond member. We had very little or no hot water in our room for 2 days and after complaining nothing was still done about it it was like we were talking to deaf ears. We checked out of this hotel early or last day there just to get away from the place noting that we will never return again. They felt that just giving me credit for one night for my hot water and other problems would be more than sufficient to keep me quiet it was not friends there are literally a hundred different hotels a very short distance from this one move on find yourself a better place to stay where you will be treated like you would expect from a Homewood Suites by Hilton because this place clearly no longer cares about hotel guests especially those of us who are lifetime Diamond members
