Really good hotel!! Especially for its price. They don't have an elevator so don't book here if you can't climb stairs. The service is very good, and they also hold your luggage which is nice! There's like one convenience store nearby, so if you want to stay here don't expect to party late at night. It's best to wake up early and walk around arashiyama

This is the just the best value hotel in Arashiyama! THE VIEWS!! I mean, does Japan have any bad hotel? I mean, each one just tops the expectations no matter the location or budget. This little gem was incredibly good value for the location, again...THE VIEWS! The staff was mega attentive, kind and helpful and will go above and beyond to make up for the lack of elevator. Bed was comfy, great shower, yukatas and again, THE VIEWS! We got a top floor room and just starred outside at any given occasion. Super convenient for walking anywhere really. Super nice touch: Manager gave us 2 discount vouchers for the nearby onsens. The massage service offered was one of the best shiatsu ones my partner had. And they conveniently send the masseuse to your room. Can't recommend enough! Would repeat on a heart bit whenever in the area.

Lovely Hotel with superb staff. There was no elevator, but the staff carries your luggage for you. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood. There is a small store 4 minutes away with a selection of food to bring back to the Hotel if you arrive late. Most local restaurants close early in the evening. But the Hotel was my favorite during this trip. Close by to the Bamboo Grove and the monkey park.
