Good hotel with good counter service. Their dinner was fantastic- elegantly designed and healthy food which tasted great. Downsides are their wifi was on the slow side and they have limited parking. I had to park 2 blocks away

The room was a business hotel, but it had everything we needed. We were able to put the beds together and have a comfortable stay even with children. The air conditioner had fixed settings, so I had to adjust it myself. The restaurant was very delicious. Parking is limited, so it's best to get there early. I was able to go to Fukaze-yu and Arashiyama by bus.

I stayed on the Gateway Plan as a Resort Trust corporate member. I thought it would be like a business hotel, but the front desk and restaurant had a Japanese-style feel, and the service and food were good. The guest rooms are a bit old, but as you would expect from an XIV affiliate, every detail was clean, and even though I tend to be a germophobe, I was able to spend my time there with peace of mind. Togetsukyo Bridge is a 5-minute drive away, so I was able to park in the parking lot and ride the trolley the next morning before the tourists flocked to it, allowing me to enjoy Saga Arashiyama to the fullest.
