Actually I booked this hotel without reading the reviews beforehand. I almost wanted to cancel but I didn't and so I had the least expectations when arriving there. So first things I know so far are that the rooms are so small, the building is really old, wifi is bad and that there's no water from the bathroom. The moment I checked-in, I would agree that the staff are a bit cold and not really welcoming. When I entered my room, it was quite bigger than I expected - I mean it's big for one person. The heater was working efficiently, the WiFi was good and it was surprisingly clean. The location is also good to get to the city center. I agree that this might be the smallest elevator I've ever encountered and that the vibe seemed haunted. But for me, it's a good place to stay for a short while in Berlin. Give this place a shot! It's not so bad after all

Hotel stayed in 80s, elevator is ancient, inside stuff and furniture is 25+ years old, no water, wifi is very bad. Cables are going nowhere near the ceiling. Only one power input near the bed. Hole under the table with some kind of telephone wiring.

Room was awful with bloodstained carpet, that we only saw next morning due to late arrival. Electric cables hanging over the bed, all in all very shady hotel that hasn't been fixed up in about 30 years. Would not recommend and we surely won't be back

I have read the negative reviews so I was not expected much. We may have been lucky, there was hot water and the wifi worked as well. Staff was OK. The room is decent size but the carpet is awful, the furnitures are old, the walls are damaged. Our room was at the top floor, the sun was heating it up really quickly, I could imagine it is probably very hot on a proper summer day. Breakfast is mediocre at best, does not worh it. You better to go out, there are plenty of places to eat. Location is good, price is acceptable still I do not recommend this hotel.

I stayed 7 nights for business purposes in this district, I had to book quickly and did not have many options unfortunately. The place needs a complete inside refurbishment! I am not fussy but my first impression after grabbing the key was to leave right away to be honest. It looks sad, dusty and the decor is at least 30 years old. My room was big enough but too many things were not acceptable such as cigarette burns on the carpet, holes and stains on the curtains, tons of dust above the closet and a very bad Wi-fi. The receptionist was (very) surprised by the last point and claimed no one ever complained about the Internet connection but it's hard to believe. The room is not super soundproof and one can easily hear the neighbor snoring next door. I booked breakfast but I didn't even dare trying it... This hotel doesn't provide the services and quality compared to what they charge (745€ for a single bed breakfast included) so avoid. I found much better hotels and in a better location (Mitte) for the same price range and I would even recommend paying more somewhere else instead of staying there.
