I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, the location, all the staff and most important the kindness and hospitality my family and I received during our stay this month. They upgraded our room without us even asking which was a great help since my mom was not feeling well. They also helped organize tours, hospital visits and helped with any need we had, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Istanbul. Thank you to all the staff at Golden Crown hotel (zayneb, Emre, Dokugan, Yilmaz and all the others sorry that I forgot your name!). I will most definitely be staying here again.

Unpleasant. This is a genuine review , unlike the many fake reviews online. The rooms smelt of diesel from the generator at the rear of the building in a covered courtyard. Our room faced the congested street with traffic fumes. Decor drab and depressing, unlike the shiny dressed up photos online. Breakfast plain and tasteless. I have had happier stays at better hostels than this hotel. We noticed other guests complaining that they couldn't sleep because of the diesel fumes from the generator. The reception staff are delightful and the bathroom was clean. I felt sorry for the staff who deserve to work somewhere better. Everything else is substandard.

The hotel itself was HORRIBLE! There is MOLD in the bathrooms! The rooms smell and have not been remodeled in years! The towels were dirty, the mattresses were like stones, extremely uncomfortable and also dirty. Everything was broken in the room. The breakfast was horrible (probably because it was included with the room cost). I have no idea how this place has 4 stars on any of the websites, I would rate it a 1. It was also not cheap! I get it if you charge $50 but it was not that! We were extremely disappointed with the rooms and the experience. Once we rated them they reached out via WhatsApp asking for us to remove the bad rating because their employees would lose their jobs? How about you stop being greedy and you actually remodel???? The staff was great!

The hotel rooms were comfortable and homely. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, everything is close by and also very near the tram station. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful and friendly. Docgukan, Buraaq, Furqaan, Emran and Zainep helped us with a friendly face whenever we needed any assistance. Keep up the good work, will definitely be back

We had a really great time at Golden Crown. Location is amazing, 5-7min walk from both the Sultanahmet Mosque in one direction and the Grand Bazaar in the other. The staff were very kind and friendly, including Zeynep, Borak, Firuze, and Emre amongst others.
