Our experience with Hotel Indigo for our wedding accommodations was outstanding. They effortlessly expanded our block multiple times during a busy weekend, ensuring all guests were accommodated without issues. The wedding suite provided ample space for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Hotel Indigo excelled in handling extras like welcome bags, making the process smooth and stress-free. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail, adding a personal touch to our guests' stay. The rooms were clean, and they were able to make special accommodations for an extended family brunch the day after the wedding. For a hotel that understands the unique needs of a wedding weekend and delivers exceptional service, we highly recommend Hotel Indigo.

The room was nice, clean, and had stated amenities. The location is a short walk (over a bridge) from restaurants, bars, and stores. Hotel bar served a variety of good and was more than adequate for breakfast, although it is not ready to go so don’t expect quick options. The gym is adequate for a reasonable workout and there’s a deck, which was great to check outside weather before heading all the way down and outside. There is also a great biking/running trail that goes right past the hotel. However service was very mediocre to poor given the expectation for a hotel of this level. I was trying to check in during a break from a work function. Stood there waiting 10+ while 2 people attended to a single guest in front of me. I finally put my bag back in my car and came back later. The breakfast service at the bar was also slow and the attendant was not around, which was not convenient when I had to get my food and get to the meeting at the hotel. To top it all off, they couldn’t give me a receipt at checkout. Several weeks later and after politely emailing to request a receipt I still haven’t gotten a reply. Overall, it’s a nice hotel but I didn’t get the feeling that the staff was particularly concerned about customers ever considering patronizing the establishment again.

Haven't been to Pittsburgh in a while, but this Hotel is a true industrial gem. The furnishings are fantastic, the exposed brick and concrete walls and ceilings are a engineers dream. The staff are VERY friendly, helpful, professional and informative. The room was very clean modern and industrial design. I would definitely stay here again. We arrived very late for check-in and the young lady at the desk was very friendly, pleasant and energetic. She already had our room keys ready. If you're looking for a place off the beaten path, but in a good area, with a shuttle bus to take you around (Thanks Chris). Check Hotel Indigo, you'll thank me 🤗

What went well: The staff were mostly great. Check-in was nice and easy as was check-out, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The waiter in the morning for breakfast was absolutely excellent. He was very attentive, polite, prompt, and professional. What can be improved: The building itself seems like it was made shoddily. You can hear everything in the other rooms, in the hallway, and outside. Some soundproofing would go a long way. The lighting in the room is pretty bad during the day. Pittsburgh is incredibly overcast and getting ready with only lamp lights and an open window during midday was horrible. The brightest light in the room was in the closet. More staff needs to be hired at higher wages to better clean the rooms. The cleaning staff that I saw were working non-stop, but I suspect they're on a very tight timeline to flip the rooms because ours was dirty with mildew in the shower and with amenities provided haphazardly. We had two body washes, three conditioners, and no shampoo.

I blocked this hotel for my wedding in May. Renee was extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. The suite was perfect for my bridal party to get ready in and we really loved the location of this hotel. My only major complaint is surrounding our after party. We spent money to reserve the restaurant and have food served to our guests after our wedding. There was ANOTHER wedding party at the hotel and their guests had eaten ALL of the food I had paid for before my guests all had arrived. I had to ask multiple workers to remove the other wedding party’s guests from the restaurant. This was very stressful and upsetting to me as the bride after I knew how much money we spent to have this event for our guests. I feel that the hotel should have done a better job making sure it was clear that the restaurant was reserved for a private party. This responsibility should not have fallen on me as a bride. Eventually a worker did apologize to me and had all of the food I had paid for remade, which I was incredibly grateful for. I would recommend this hotel to other brides however I do think they need an event manager on site to handle these kind of issues.
