Beautiful hotel close to everything! Historic building with top quality amenities. Definitely a 4🌟 hotel. I stayed in a suite. I had a separate mini kitchen with a fridge, sink, wet bar, coffee maker, and table with chairs, a spacious living room with a desk, sofa, chair, and television. There was a large entrance hall with enough space for luggage, a table, and room for dancing, if one wanted to dance. The bedroom was completely separate and had a door and full walk in closet, tv, and chair. The bathroom was very nice and had space for my things. One negative was the toilet tissue. Terrible, for a very nice hotel the stuff was significantly worse than the airport tissue. My daughter and her husband stayed in the regular King room and it was very lovely! It had the separate kitchenette area, bedroom area, and a sweet vanity table outside the bathroom for getting ready. Even the basic room was beyond lovely. A stay here is so much better than a stay at a chain where every room in every city looks exactly the same. This hotel has charm and style. You can’t find that in a box. The food was delicious! The salmon from the restaurant was perfect. The price was comparable to other places. Service was lovely, I did get it to go but the woman who helped me was very kind. The bar looked great and the bottle selection seemed above average. But the best part is the people, mainly the valets. The men who work the valet/front doors are fantastic! They are so sweet! Very friendly and helpful men who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to help you with directions or information or just a friendly hello. I will be back!

First, let me say it was CLEAN, a true rarity since COVID. It is a beautiful hotel and a great experience. The owners have done a good job of updating it enough to be functional, but still keep the old world charm. The shower had high pressure and plenty of hot water, and a full array of pillows from one as thick and firm as our cube pillows, to very soft. There are not microwaves in the rooms, and it's a little skimpy on outlets, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is a restaurant in the motel - small, classy and pricy. There are other restaurants close by...a coffee shop with some real food...(for five coffee roasters?)definitely not fast or cheap, but delicious! And another restaurant across the corner that looks more affordable, but didn't open early enough for us. We parked in the Ronald Reagan parking garage and brought the metro over. It worked quite well.

Stay elsewhere. The shower would not drain, the room took hours to warm up and worst of all, I was charged for two nights for no reason. It's taken multiple calls, emails, and follow ups and I still don't have the money I should. Location is fine enough, but don't stay here unless you really have to.

The hotel is older but very beautiful , charming and decorated accordingly , take it for what it is , if you want a warm and charming place to experience Washington then this is your place. If this place is not your style then stay at the ritz and pay 4 -6 times more per night ! By the way i was able to park on the street for a fraction of the cost of any garage in the area or valet.

The hotel is lovely, super central, the area has lots of places to eat and is close to transport. Maybe a bit of maintenance would be helpful, the tub was clogged so water kept pooling while you showered. The vent system kept making a noise that couldn't be turned off. The room I got (2nd floor) was very dark, almost no natural light so during the day I had to turn the lights on. But quiet enough. Staff is very kind and helpful, though
