I booked a standard room for four nights, because the hotel is close to where my friend lives. For whatever reason, I wasn’t expecting much, but I was very happily surprised by how good this hotel is! The room was spacious and light filled, and spotlessly clean. The large windows had an excellent blackout shade that stopped nearly all light, evening in mid-day. The bathroom was super clean with a large shower that had the best hot water and pressure of nearly any hotel I’ve stayed in. Upon first entering, the lobby seemed a little dark and forbidding, but there is a nice seating area and a small restaurant/bar with long hours every day. Although Doctores has a lot of street traffic during the day, at night it was very quiet, even with the window open. (Please note there is no heating or air-conditioning in the room, but Mexico City’s temperatures are generally pretty mild.) There are a couple of taquerías nearby and a couple of Oxxo locations, but otherwise there isn’t much available at night in this neighborhood. The hotel is very well-situated for public transit: the Trolebús line 1 stops just two blocks away, and will take you right to the North bus terminal. Also within blocks were stations for Metro line 8 (Doctores) and line 3 (Niños Heroes). A few blocks beyond Niños Heroes is the Metrobús line 3 at Jardín Pushkin, and the “official” beginning of Roma Norte. The only negative about this hotel was the quality of its WiFi—it’s there, but I couldn’t connect for more than 20 seconds at a time, when I would have to reconnect (and even reboot my device.) If your stay in CDMX requires fast internet, you would definitely need to go someone else (closest being somewhere in Roma Norte) to access reliable WiFi. In spite of the lack of useable WiFi, I would definitely stay here again. It’s a great value.

The hotel has 4 stars but doesn’t deserve it in my opinion. The room was quite big but only bed, TV, small table and bathroom (which is quite nice). No other cabinets where to store your clothes. The sheets had weird yellow stains on them and there were also stains on the walls. The neighbourhood is also not the best one in the city.

Very convenient location, next to a small park, clean room. I want to separately note the cafe on the ground floor, delicious and large portions. Weak Wi-Fi, but you can watch a movie with pause.

Pros: 1. The amenities are good. 2. The place smells and feels clean. 3. The bathroom is clean and pretty. Cons. 1. The sheets were burned with cigarette. 2. The place outside the motel, is not secure. 3. The elevator got stock and was making wierd noises. 4. The clerk and the personal were not happy and welcoming. 5. There were so many noises at night, I couldn't sleep well. ( The washing machines were running all night long )
