Very small room but to be expected in Tokyo, spend a bit more to have a bit more. Service ok, but I hate a check-in machine, where is the personal touch that the hotel is welcoming Guests? At home I also do not have a robot to welcome Guests and when I'm travelling the hotel is my home. Location so so, not far from the Royal Gardens but very quite area. Found a lovely small bar next door full with Xmas decoration so that was a nice surprise.

Hotel Niwa was clean and the staff were helpful and kind. The property is lovely with several gardens. The rooftop garden was pleasant with a vending machine with beer, the Zen room was nice and we really enjoyed the high-end massage chairs which were free in the “relaxation” room. Buffet western breakfast was a great deal! I would stay again. The only reason it got 4 stars was the location was not near what we wanted to do.

Wonderful, kind staff. Giant king-sized bed was perfect for us tall people. 5 minute walk to train station. Rooms were very quiet, and you can’t hear anything outside. Also, check in and check out is done on kiosks with language options, so it was very easy for English speakers. We stored our bags here to walk around the city, and they delivered them to our room. We had a great time here!

This is a business hotel but it’s a nice place for an adult couple. We got the superior room (size up from standard) and had a comfortable amount of room for two people. The beds were rock hard and pillows low compared to what we are used to as Westerners but that seems to be the case at a lot of Japanese hotels. They offer free tea and coffee in the afternoons which is very nice. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast seemed expensive unless you got it included as a package. There are plenty of convenience stores close by and it’s also close to a train and metro station. The area is a bit of a business district but it’s not too far from Akihabra (two stops on train) or about 20 minutes to Shinjuku.

Strongly recommend. It’s a beautiful and quiet oasis with a tea lounge, relaxation area with impressively effective massage chairs, rooftop patio, pajamas provided and a very nice breakfast. With several transit stations close by, we could get to any part of Tokyo really quickly. Japanese restaurant was yummy- recommend the assorted appetizers. Staff was very kind!
