I was here around this time last year, the location is great it’s central, the service was also good and helpful. We were girls and we asked them for a lot of stuff like chargers, blow dryers and they gave it to us. The decor was also beautiful and antique, but the room that we had wasn’t clean, the carpet was dirty, the bedsheets didn’t seem that clean, and the towels were also dirty and used. Maybe it was just our room because our friends that were in another room didn’t face these problems.

The standard of 3 stars was here 40 years ago. During the stay we were in two rooms. First, we got a room with not working toilet, with dirt all-over the place, horrible stains at the wallpaper, at the window ragged, dirty curtain. The window frame ragged with wooden parts sticking out - potentially dangerous, you can easily cut yourself with a splinter. The window glass was dirty, likewise the mirrors, lamps etc. In the bathroom the cistern was damaged and after draining the water still that water flew, cracked tiles, the shower tray scratched. Everywhere was dust. The door had hand marks and was dirty with a hole. In both rooms - the design and quality is from the 70s. That is not 3 stars! Photos are showing more expensive, better rooms! In the second room - the radiator (there is no air conditioner, just a radiator in both rooms) has no adjustment and works as it pleases. Rooms have very thin walls, uncomfortable beds and old bathrooms - older than your grandmother. The room exchange process itself was not a pleasant one either. We went down to the front desk and described what was not working in 513 and what the problem was. They told as that technician is coming, even though we haven't said what is the problem - so they knew about it before our arrival and did nothing. The guy at the front desk defended himself with the fact that he works supposedly 3 months, we asked his colleague to talk to the manager - answer: "there is none", we asked to talk to the owner in that case, also "there is none", after that they messed around rummaged and suddenly found a room, however to another person before us he said that there is no way to change because it is full. In the rooms there were old-type sockets, it wasn't possible to plug in the laptop. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! They are also lying on Booking by showing only high-standard rooms.

This place is a solid 2 to 3 star hotel located perfectly in the center of town, with great access to incredible restaurants, most of the major historical landmarks, and the hustle and bustle of Bologna. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anybody who is seeking comfort and quality. The interior very old with extremely dated carpet fixtures and furniture. You might luck out for the view of the city if you asked to be on one of the higher floors. Overall, the price is very competitive.
