100% recommend. In the middle of it all but you would never know. Experience the life of the Italian people and their neighborhoods and be a stones throw away from the center of it all. The staff is outstanding. Special thank you to Marco who made our stay easy and memorable. The hospitality he showed was above and beyond. It was like being at a five star resort but instead in this cute little hotel in the middle of a residential community. Great value for the money. Thank you Marco!

Hotel Paolo II made our first trip to Rome a seamless, stree-free, and enjoyable experience. They have VERY clean rooms, a delicious breakfast every morning, and the location is perfect. A short walk to St. Peter's Basilica, and tons of small restaurants to get a drink at on the way back. The hotel is also located in the center courtyard of a beautiful old hotel building. We spent many nights sitting out in front of the hotel talking and drinking, it was so quiet and peaceful. The staff was also amazing, with someone being at the front desk 24/7. We always felt safe, respected, and valued as patrons here. Highly highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in a safe, quiet part of Rome that is still close to everything you'll want to do!

A boutique garden hotel located near the Vatican, many restaurants. On a quiet street. Reserved parking is not available as there are many private residences in the area. A fully stocked modern grocery store 1/2 block down the street.

My boyfriend and I visited Rome for two weeks and we stayed at Hotel Paolo II for our entire duration. We absolutely LOVED our stay!! The location was perfect and beautiful, tucked away inside a quiet little courtyard. We felt so safe and we were within walking distance of all the main sights! (About a 5 minute walk from the Vatican and a 30-ish minute walk from things like the Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona). There was also a bus station only 2 minutes up the road which was super convenient for getting to farther destinations or to the main train station! Apart from the location, the hotel itself was just perfect! It was small and quaint and felt so “homey”. We felt like we were really experiencing an authentic Italian vacation instead of being in a common hotel chain. Our room was also very clean, modern, and well kept. We had no issues at all! We also really enjoyed the free breakfast every morning. To top it all off, the staff was absolutely wonderful!! So welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Everyone was so kind and if we needed help with anything (getting a cab, finding directions, etc.) they were always available! (The front desk is open 24/7). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Paolo II and will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
