It's a very old building with basic amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is ok, meaning that you have to walk considerably to all central attractions, still within walking distance to the center. I wouldn't call it value for money because it wasn't a very cheap stay.

To start off, the check-in process was postponed due to a group of students making a big mess and being charged by the hotel staff. We thought nothing of it and continued with our day. Our room, 105, looked like someone had previously tried to break in. One of the sockets looked as it had been painted over and didn’t work. The bathroom looked like a 2-star hotel at best and did not live up to its alleged 4-star rating. The shower drain never sucked water out properly, until we removed the cover. From other people’s experience, some of their beds were broken down. The staff were usually pretty kind and the breakfast was passable, I never started the day hungry, that’s the best I can say. However, if you are a human, and you happen to use tissues, drink water or eat, the hotel staff will not be pleased. They were ready to fine us for not taking out our own trash and leaving garbage in a bag, that was tied up neatly and ready to be taken away by the 4-star hotel staff. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel but if you find yourself in Napoli and all the other hotels are occupied, you’re more than likely to survive the night, untouched. But please do remember to check the door.

It’s a 4-star hotel with great staff: the receptionist, the cleaning personnel and the barman were very helpful and kind. The place is little taken care of. An unpleasant odor welcomes visitors, which gets worse in the restaurant area, although the place seems to be clean. Rooms are spacious, but a bit worn down (bathrooms mainly). The roof terrace, which looks amazing on photos, was a bunch of dust-covered outdoor furniture and dead plants. There was no bar upstairs, you were supposed to call the bar on a phone and place your order, it was taken to you then. However, without any shades, we escaped the terrace soon. The hotel is on a busy road, so windows must be kept closed, about 15 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Spaccanapoli.
