Having just come back from an 11 day stay at this hotel I feel a need to review given some of the terrible off putting comments. The hotel itself quite obviously caters for the slightly older generation. It is superbly situated. The staff are fantastic friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, fresh towels ever day and bedding changed during our stay. It's incredibly clean and well maintained. The rooftop jacuzzi with views across the bay to Vesuvius was very welcome. Breakfast buffet excellent as is food at the pool bar. We were half board and the restaurant was a bit hit and miss although pasta/ gnocchi always excellent. Please don't be put off by negative reviews! It ain't the Ritz but we've had a great time here. Maybe not a good choice for those with young children however

we have just returned from our stay here. The rooms, if a little small, have everything you need and are kept spotlessly clean. The restaurant is very good, knowledgeable and efficient staff, plentiful amazing food. Reception staff were also extremely helpful in every way. The position of the hotel was a bonus, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento, we had a wonderful view of Vesuvius and the sea from our room. Would definitely stay here again.

We visited Sorrento in September 2023. Pros: - Quiet hotel away from the crowds and noise - Great location close to main tourist strip, but not right on the strip - Walking distance to Marina Grande (breach, kayaks, dining) - Close to restaurants and bars - Good A/C - Bar fridge in room - No coffee maker – but hotel supplied kettle (bring your instant coffee) - Junior Suite was clean and spacious (1 Queen, and 2 single beds) with nice partial sea view and view of Vesuvius. Another balcony off the bathroom faced the courtyard. Note: Other rooms could be small and facing a courtyard. Size depends on room type. - Close to grocery stores, fresh produce stand, laundry mat Cons: - Breakfast buffet – was a disappointment and very limited. Although they had bacon and eggs, they were not properly cooked and therefore not a choice. Mainly sweets and pastries, fruit, cold cheeses and meat. - Dining options were limited at hotel and seem to cater to Brits (i.e., Steak and kidney pie and fish chips on the dinner menu.) Many other dining options were available nearby. - Pool was small and was located right beside pool bar / restaurant (no privacy from diners) - Slow, tiny elevators - Not 1 English TV channel (100+ Italian)

Nothing about this hotel is above one star. The beds are hard cots at most- covered in an old duvet with a singular pillow. Rooms are tiny, dated, and musty. You make your way through mismatched furniture through the halls to get to the elevator. It looks more like a resale furniture store than a hotel. Stayed in August with two rooms- one rooms air barely worked and was on a sensor so you could not open a window for extra breeze without kicking the AC itself off. Will not be returning!
