Good value for money, central location and close to JR Nagoya. Room was good, buffet breakfast had a good range and some cooked to order, delicious. There are combinis within a block or two for anything else. I had a bit of issue with communicating as an English speaking staff is not on roster all the time but when there was one, she was excellent. (It was a complicated situation I tried to explain but my very basic Japanese failed me and it would have been nice why I couldn't check in as per the reservation - natural disaster related stuff) Otherwise the service was great. If I was go back to Nagoya I'd stay again.

Nearest subway exit is Exit 4 of the Hisaya odori station on the Sakura odori line. Hotel is near Oasis 21 and the park. It's a slightly seedy part of Sakae, but not so bad. Service is very good; they helped us arrange delivery of our luggage from the hotel to Narita Airport as long as we have our luggage three days in advance. Amenities are in the lobby next to the front desk. Rooms are a good size for Japan. The toilet is separate from the shower/bathtub. Sink is separate from both of those as well. Shower and bathtub are Japanese style. The rooms are cleaned every 4 days to support the sustainable development goals. I think it's pretty great value from this hotel for the price.

It is located in Nagoya's famous red light district. I would not recommend to any family with children. Nearby streets are full of garbage, dirty, filthy and noisy. The room is small and just okay. It is beginning to show signs of physical decline, e.g., elevator doors are damaged with scratches . The laundry room is small and not so clean. I would not choose this hotel or any hotels near this area. Please note the parking is super expensive at JPY2000 per night (3p-11a, not 24 hours) and you do not have in & out privilege. Overall avoid this area if you can.
