We had an unexpected layover as our flight was late and missed an international connection requiring us to stay overnight. Our bags were still at the airport. Picked Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport- North as I am a club member at it was convenient and reasonably priced. All was good until we got up in the morning to find no shampoo or body wash in shower dispensers. No problem, I’ll go get some at front desk. Answer- “housekeeping not in until 8 am and they don’t have any. Here’s some bar soap”. Needed to. E headed out by that time. Thinking twice about my next stay at a Hyatt.

As a Hyatt member for over 6 years and live over 20 different Hyatt hotels, it is one of the worst experience ever. My family of 6 (4 adult and 2 young kids) booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for travel to Atlanta. As we checked in, the lady at from desk had her Air Pods on and plays her nails. I waited over 5 minutes standing there to finally had her attention. I have not hear a greeting nor a smile during my conversation, but only attitude. Once we checked in, one of the room we had had a broken alarm. I walked down the lobby (there is no phone in the room), and was told it cannot be fixed until the maintenance person was on duty. She did not provide a solution at all. I asked for switch to another room. She was unhappy, but did switch another room that is far away from the other one. The nasty part of this room is that the toilet was not even cleaned. The other room has a bad AC that make a loud noise when it is on. I talked to the front and was told there is nothing they can do and there is no more room available for us to switch. If I can give a negative point, I will definitely do. Please, stay away from this hotel. I have to say the only good thing about this hotel is the lady who worked at the breakfast.

I've stayed at the hotel several times over the years and loved it. This was by far the worst experience that I've had. The shuttle didn't arrive at the airport around when it was supposed to. Fortunately, a driver from another hotel asked where we were going and took us to the hotel. The bathroom only had 1 towel and no towel for a bath mat. There was no phone in the room, so I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to ask for an additional towel. The most disappointing was the breakfast. There was very little selection and the foods that were supposed to be hot were barely room temperature. The oatmeal was almost cold. One of the kitchen attendants was more interested in being on her phone than ensuring the breakfast area was being serviced. The container of hot water was almost empty and barely warm. The container for English Breakfast tea was empty, so I had to ask if there was more. Another gentleman took his food and asked if they could warm it for him. I've worked as a breakfast attendant for a hotel breakfast buffet, so I know it's possible to do much better with the variety of foods and keeping everything stocked and hot or cold.

I ended up at this hotel because of a delayed flight which would have made me miss my connection. I think this was even my first time at a Hyatt. Terrible first impression. One of the face towels in my room... DISGUSTING!!! Unfortunately I went to wipe my face and realized it smelled weird. Then proceeded to sniff all the rest of the towels in the room to make sure... They all smelled normal... When I say disgusting I mean bodily fluid disgusting... How that towel ended up back on the rack and not stiff...I do not know 🤢🤮 The girl at the front desk couldn't care less. Seems like it's time to always wash the towels even when they don't appear used. Bed had hair under the comforter too so they obviously didn't change the sheets either. The shuttle didn't pick me up, I ended up riding a different shuttle that was nice enough to drop me off across the street from where he was going. Morning shuttle seemed ok. I'd avoid this place since they don't clean the rooms.

Close to airport but not in a direct flight path which was nice. However, the construction that is happening in the hotel during the day was not fun to deal with. All floors were dirty in the hallways with spilled paint, dirt, dust, etc. The hotel is older and the room that I had was not updated and you could tell. Bathroom door barely closed, paint peeling off the ceiling, and old low toilet. The room size is nice with a separate seating area and small fridge, microwave, desk, and chair. Bed was decent but pillows were awful. Closet was funky and not super usable. I use hotel gyms every day and this one was small and had no cleaning wipes and only one day had towels. Very disappointed with that. Free breakfast was a bit above average and the staff was for the most part very pleasant and easy to deal with. The entry into the parking lot is half blocked and if their shuttle driver is parked there it makes it very hard to get around them even in a small car.
