👍 Check in was crowded and somewhat slow but overall no issues. 👍 Room was nice (shower only, no bath; tea only and no milk/coffee). 👍 Onsen was also fine but no good views from the outdoor bath in my opinion 👎 Breakfast was very crowded and extremely hard to find a free table as staff do not guide you. Taste was ok but quality was on the low side considering the price.

A bit disappointed by this onsen hotel. I think a bit of a victim of its own success. Far too many people staying for the facilities offered. Mealtimes were a bit of a feeding frenzy. Not relaxing at all. The onsen area was totally packed during the day too. Hard to find a space to bathe. There are much better places to stay in the area with similar prices, which haven't been spoiled by mass tourism. Room was comfortable enough though and food was reasonable when you got to the end of the queue.

This hotel has great onsen baths including an open air hot spring pool. It was a lovely experience to soak in the hot spring while enjoying the autumn colours. Highly recommend this hotel that was worth the money.
