The hotel is located approximately 10 mins walk from Liberation Monument. Along the way there are many eateries catering for local taste buds. The hotel room is good(if you like the deep red mahogany type panelling). Overall facilities are superb & breakfast spread outstanding.

I never thought staying with JW Marriott Chongqing could lead to such a bad overall experience. Well, the hotel is decent, room is clean, food is okay. However, the service related to billing is just a disaster. The hotel mistakenly made the pre-authorization charged as transaction during check-in and it was posted on my credit card as a finalized transaction. During check-out, the front-desk first printed a wrong invoice with some errors in food charge. While they were re-validating the invoice, they realized the mistake charge during check-in, notified us and promised to refund. Then here comes the nightmare. The refund process were never proactively communicated with me and required tons of follow-ups with the front-desk. I tried to use credit card dispute to resolve this issue. The Ms. Lin from front desk requested me multiple times to close the dispute and promised to refund the wrong charge completely. And guess what, it has been almost a month, I still didn't get the full refund. I am extremely disappointment by the unprofessionalism from the hotel front desk, billing department as they are lacking of ownership to mitigate the mistake they made and created so much churns for the customers.

the room was really underwhelming considering the price! Super regal and “victorian” design but not done im the right way so it just made the room look old and dated. For a better price i would recommend Glenview ITC just down the road!

Nice hotel for both business and leisure purpose. I booked 2 rooms in this hotel for a 3 night stay. One of them got upgraded to an executive suite. Nice recognition of my ambassador status. Breakfast buffet is decent, a mix of both western and oriental good choices. Location is super convenient, I was very close to the touristy stuff I wanted to go. Staff is friendly, room is clean. I will stay here again if I am in town.

You fall into bed & it surrounds you. I don’t think I moved until morning. Breakfast of champions is beyond compare. This Marriott is of the highest quality. You first walk into the lobby, its looks nice, and a lot like, other big chain hotels. But the minute you step off the elevator, on your floor, you know you're in for something special. Attention to detail was not overlooked with the exquisite design. The staff speaks excellent English, was ready to assist with all our needs. We only stayed one night, but wished to stay longer.
