I had the pleasure of staying at Kaani Grand Seaview, which is conveniently situated in close proximity to a plethora of restaurants and surrounded by an array of exciting water sports activities. Additionally, the famous Shadow Palm Tour is conveniently located right next door to this establishment. Upon our arrival at the jetty, we were warmly welcomed by a gentleman, whom I believe to be the manager named Tiger. He promptly ushered us to the hotel for check-in and ensured that our room was prepared for our early arrival. Although the check-in process did take a bit of time, we acknowledge that our early arrival at around 1.30 pm, prior to the standard 2 pm check-in time, contributed to this. It was evident that they made an effort to expedite our room preparation, even though we amusingly noticed a slightly damp floor upon entering the room! The hotel room itself was characterized by cleanliness and tidiness, providing a convenient and pleasant environment for our stay. The proximity to numerous dining options added to the overall convenience. While my overall experience was positive, there are a couple of areas where improvement could be considered. Firstly, the air conditioning in my room didn't provide the desired level of cooling. Additionally, diversifying the breakfast menu beyond primarily Indian cuisine would be a welcomed enhancement. Despite these minor considerations, I remain thoroughly pleased with my experience and look forward to the possibility of returning in the future. 😄😄 Best regards, The Malaysian couple who checked out on October 14, 2023

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. I'd recommend staying here if you are in Maafushi. - Location: Right near the beach. There are several options for water activities right outside and the hotel offers activities as well at good rates. - Food : We found it alright. We enjoyed the dessert a lot but didn't enjoy the seafood. Breakfast was always good. - Spa: We had a couple's massage. The massage was relaxing. I'd rate it a 3/5 since I have had better ones elsewhere. The prices were quite reasonable. - Service: The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. My husband got injured on the first day and they helped drive him twice to the hospital. - I found a huge cockroach in the shower. The biggest I've ever seen. I immediately called the front desk and they came quickly to remove it so I wasn't too bothered with it.

The location is quite good, just by the beach. I stayed in a room on the 6th floor. The sea view from the room was excellent. The food quality was just decent. Food options were limited. The staff and the service were just decent. Felt like they were not very enthusiastic towards their work.

Located in Maafushi island, one of the many hotels under kaani name. The price was good based off 4 nights, the room was clean and spacious, the bathrooms were clean as well. The breakfast buffet was limited and not as clean, it was disappointing. The smell of the cooking in the restaurant was literally in the rooms + the humidity which made it much worse. We got a late check in and they did not agree to give us a late check out. Which was also disappointing! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re expecting 10/10 service.

PROS: I stayed 3 nights in the hotel and I got a free upgrade to a royal suite on the top floor of the building. The room is large and spacious and contains two air conditioners and a massage bath as well as a large balcony with a beautiful view. Hotel guests can use the free sunbeds on the beach in front of the hotel. Check-out is possible until 12 o'clock, which is definitely positive. CONS: There is only one elevator for the entire building with 7 floors. Although there were two air conditioners in the room, one of them was working poorly. Breakfast is the same every day and lacks choice as well as quality. You have to pay extra if you want to order cappuccino or espresso. Most of the staff seems bored or disinterested. When I checked in I asked to pay in euros instead of dollars, when the receptionist said that the hotel applies the same exchange rate for both euros and dollars! This was not indicated anywhere before. In general, the entire building is very stifling and unbearably hot. The lack of air conditioning is noticeable. Guests are provided with one towel per day, which is simply not enough for the location conditions. On the last day of my stay, I received a call from the reception at 07:30 AM to tell me that I had to check out that day (???) and at the same time they asked me if I was feeding the birds (???) that were restless that morning. Totally unprofessional. Although it is marked as a 4-star hotel, this one is definitely not.
