Overall I enjoyed the stay there. Rooms were the older type but they were clean and well kept. Staff were accommodating whenever we had questions or needed help. I felt the staff who were more senior in terms of age weren’t as willing to go out of their way as the younger staff. Not sure why but this was my observation. Still, the more senior staff were good though too. They also helped me to call to book a couple of restaurants. Location is really good. 5 mins walk from the San Marco pier. Breakfast was also included - if you’re into your breakfasts and looking for a big spread in the morning, you won’t get it here. But it’s enough for you to still start your day - toast croissants yoghurt bread and some simple fruit. If you want good value for location, decent rooms and friendly staff, this place is a good go.

Hotel Kette is a really short walk away from San Marco Square and Rialto Bridge. It has 24hr check-in service with 2-3 extremely well dressed and very polite staff on hand to help with anything needed. The hotel is beautifully decorated with quality fixtures and fittings. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was delicious with lovely service again. Very professional and extremely efficient, attentive staff. It was a buffet style, self service …warm apple croissants, lemon cake, toast, fresh juice, beautiful fresh fruit with yogurts, hams, cheeses, freshly baked bread rolls, miniature conserve pots, tea or milky coffee. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Recommended .

Location is great. Otherwise Rooms are musty, drawers were unusable due to musty order. Towel warmer was broken and leaked all over bathroom tile floor. Breakfast was the least impressive of all the 5 hotels we stayed in while traveling through Europe.

So hmm, 4 star hotel? Where? Maybe place yes, but definetly not the breakfast and rooms. Its strong 2+ hotel, with no expectations of something more. The personal thinks that they work in 4 star hotel, but they forgot that the most important is the Guest, because its brings the money. But still, in this place they will have always guests, which will be still wondering to leave the keys in reception, eating cheap breakfast and enjoying the stay near San Marco. Have a nice Venice :)

Hotel was good; quaint style and because of that somewhat cramped in the bar/breakfast areas. Staff were generally nice enough although could be quiet and/or come across as rude but this may be just a cultural thing. Breakfast was simple but good. Room was clean and tidy albeit old but still, in keeping with the theme. Very close to San Marco Square (5min walk) but off on a quiet side alley so you're away from the crowds. 15min stroll to Rialto, and right by the theatre. Definitely recommend for the price, little else in the area for the same price/value for money.
