We spent 12 days at Ketuts place villas over Christmas and new years. It was spectacular! All the staff were exceptional. Fantastic service. The property at the villas is gorgeous. The royal villa we stayed in was overlooking the jungle ravine. We went to Ketut’s bed and breakfast (1 km closer to town centre) for Christmas dinner where the family made everything fresh that day. Amazing Balinese meal! We were happy to stay a little ways out of town centre, Ubud is busy! You can take the shuttle or walk to town centre. We also enjoyed the spa there! I would highly recommend ketuts place villas.

This place is wonderful- if you enter it it’s like a temple inside a botanical garden. It’s so beautiful and the people so nice and helpful. We loved the breakfast by the pool, the pool is lovely, the spa room is overlooking the jungle and the river so you hear the river and jungle sounds and it’s so relaxing. The massage was wonderful and at the best price we found in Ubud. The restaurant offers good food so you literally don’t need to go out of this paradise. Location is very close to Ubud Palace and Ubud art street and markets, close to restaurants and warungs, to coffee shops and bars, but at the same time far enough from the hustle and bustle. If you need a transport they can organize it as well. WiFi is also very good. For me this is the best place in Ubud

The rooms are dirty and had a lot of insects around and even lizards inside the room. Staff doesnt give you towels unless you ask and they dont give you a hands towel for toilet at all. We had 1 night with cold water in the shower that couldnt be fixed, so we showered with cold water.

This hotel was a huge disappointment after one month of staying in seven different hotels all over Bali. Where do I begin? Only one towel a person, no hand hotels; only chicken on the menu, no other meat; you have to sign every time they deliver breakfast and you have to go order breakfast at the reception every night like a beggar. Is that enough arrogance? At the rate you are paying, you would think they would provide hand towels. After I complained, they brought me nasty rags which got me really insulted so I went to give it back to the lobby. The food is just awful: we ate lunch one day and could not digest anything and was appalled that they only had chicken on the menu and no other meat. The hotel is quite far from the center, where there are so many other better choices. This was one of the more expensive places we stayed at in Bali but by far the worst hotel. Never again. The owners need to learn a lesson about general services, since this is not a home stay.

Infraestructure: 10/10. Wonderful architecture, the rooms are really comfortable and big. Bathroom is big, good showers. Service: 0/10. Really poor, they only provide big towels for shower, no smaller ones for face and hand washing, in spite we asked them to give us two small towels they didn’t provide that. Breakfast: 7/10. I asked for adicional boiled egg and wanted to charge 1.5 usd. Come on, this is an expensive hotel and I’ve payed already extra for breakfast! Helping with tours: 4/10. We reserved a tour, it was expensive but the transfer was bad, too crowded, a van for 6 with 7 adults, one sharing chair. Uncomfortable. Location: 8/10. Far from crowded center of ibid, really nice.
