The room is okay but it is the only pet friendly hotels which allows you to bring your pets without extra charges. And the location of the hotel is at the town which is very convenient for you to go anywhere. There are lots of nice cafe nearby and there is the food street as well as bars in walking distance at night. The male staff is very friendly and helpful when you ask for something.

Atmosphere was very peaceful and aesthetic. Location is great, just a few minutes walk from the Georgetown UNESCO site. However, plumbing (piping, grouting, bathroom doors) & linens need to be upgraded. Both seem somewhat broken down or worn.

The dryer machine haunts us. It has been many months since other reviewers have complained about the broken dryer machine. Please do not stay in a room near Floor 4. Cockroaches are everywhere. We kill 3-5 baby roaches every day. Pros: great location, the staff is kind and helpful, the building have a lot of shared spaces. Cons: everything seemed old and poorly taken care off. The dryer was broken and early morning we have to deal with crazy noise continuously for 1 hour. There are roaches everywhere. The owner didnt take care of this place at all, because everything is rusty, old, broken and seriously down to the sink hole. NEVER TRY THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. Please.

Kim Haus is a cross between chic hotel and hostel, so there are some up-sides and down-sides depending on what you're looking for. I didn't end up spending much time there because the neighborhood is where it's at, but the goldsmithing museum was cool. They had free laundry, reliable wifi, and air conditioning. Our room was on the smaller side and wasn't pristine, but it was workable. The stairwells smelled though. I can tell there was a genuine effort to preserve a historic space while also catering to travelers looking for cool vibes.

The positives: The guy working at the counter was doing his best to help the guests (despite being all by himself). The free self-service washer and dryer were amazing. The rooms were clean and functional. The location was perfect to reach anything in the city center. t was pretty quiet and the equipment (a/c, shower, etc) worked fine. There were many cute details in the hotel if you are into art and design. The negatives: The whole place has lost its previous charm. There was a restaurant in the vault room and what used to be a music bar, but everything looked like it has not been used for a long time. There were some goldsmith exhibits but it also looked like no one really cared about them. The open air gym looked totally run down. The room was smelly from the drain and so small that 2 people could barely move. Breakfast was okish, but it was only 9-11 and it would have been nice to be have a choice and especially to have more vegan / vegetarian options (except a piece of toast, one hash brown and some salad) Didn’t understand why tea was included but for coffee you needed to pay extra. Still a decent place compared to other affordable hotels in the area
