The best thing is the service from all friendly employees, they always ready to greet you and help out whenever you need. The lobby with well designed and comfortable. The simple breakfast served is satisfied with bread, cereal, orange and variety of drinks. The room is huge in size. There is a lot of carpark space designed by the hotel itself. The only things that need improvement is that the room and corridor around the room area are dim due to the dark blue theme, it is quite uncomfortable for my personal feelings. Overall it worth 4/5😊

Very basic. Friendly staff. Parking for car & motorcycle available. Super basic breakfast; bread & butter, coffee & tea. Wish t hey can install the basic water jet-spray at the toilet, after all it's not difficult piping connection. An acceptable accommodation for budget travelers.

The Mingood is not one of the classier hotels of George Town, but over the last 20 years I have stayed there at least a half a dozen times, on my fairly frequent trips the Penang, so I have some fond memories. The staff are always very nice but I have to admit that the hotel is pretty old and kind of shabby in a charming way. The location is very good though if you are a tourist and a first time visitor, many of the places on your to-do list are probably within walking distance. I am including some photos from my room window and will add some exterior photos of the hotel later.

I booked a triple room in Mingood Hotel with the promise of a bathtub available for that room. To my dissapointment, only typical head shower was available, NO BATHTUB. Toilet has NO bidet hose. The room was old and musty. Cups and glasses were not cleaned since god knows when. The air-cond was slow. I would not recommend for families with small children to stay here. The thumbs up were that the staffs were friendly, allowed us to checked in early before 2pm and the hotel was in a very strategic location. Stayed from 12 Sep 2018 - 14 Sep 2018.
