The location was perfect and very near to town and parking is plenty but the hotel room design is so weird. I recently checked in with my 2 of my girlfriends and was given room 315 for triple sharing. The room design is soso weird where in between the room and bathroom wall is not properly covered. There is a long hole where anyone outside the bathroom can see someone showering inside the bathroom. And the wardrobe bottom is not covered as well and someone can just peep on you from the bottom when u do your business or taking bath.. And in between the bed, there is one chandelier hanging low.. Overall the design is so weird and im not sure why the owne approved such bad design. My goodness...

interesting boutique hotel with retro theme. the decor will be attractive to photographers. there are lots of comfortable sofas throughout the hotel. the room is compact, no windows but well equipped. the bathroom is quite spacious and bright. the room in contrast is warmly lit. there are plenty of hooks around the room so you can use it to hang your stuff. the staff are patient and helpful. there is a gym where you can watch the sunrise there. there are washing machines and dryers for you to do laundry free of charge. there are many eateries around the hotel and the hotel is close to the heart of ipoh.

The room is dark, the room facilities are old and dirty. Got some else smoke in lobby. We saw blood stains on the bed, and it made us itchy all over. It was not in line with the price, and there was no basic hygiene and comfort.

location was pretty good. not in the heart of all the attractions, but not far either. its about 10-15 mins walk to Ipoh's famous streets where the chicken rice, local pastries, cookies and cafes are. However, as the roads leading towards those spots involved passing through quiet dark streets without much traffic, it's best to drive instead. The hotel has their own carpark lot (albeit not sheltered open space) which is a plus. now the rooms on each of the 3 floors each has their own theme. i was on the 3rd floor and i have to admit the decor was interesting. rooms are clean, bed linen is crisp. washroom was clean and void of smell too. good job. But i found the lighting inside the room to be lacking. It is simply too dim. i cant even see clearly whats inside my luggage bag. i had to use my phone's torchlight to find what i wanted. yes it is that dim inside the room. i attached a photo of the window with the curtains withdrawn for your sake. it was taken arond 3pm and sunny outside. but it doesn't help brighten the room much because the window is blocked by this bricked wall. this brick wall also spoilt whatever view we might have hoped to see from inside the room. another big complaint is that the bathroom and bedroom isn't properly separated /sealed. there are 2 large "holes" between the bathroom and bedroom, each about the size of a 27 inch TV. these holes are located #1 above the pantry, and #2 below the cupboard. this allowed the smell from the toilet, and the moisture from the shower to flow freely into the bedroom. also allows people to clearly hear whats happening in the bathroom, so no farts and noisy poops, please. another minor thing to note is the walls and doors are poorly insulated. i can hear people's conversation pretty clearly from the main corridor outside every room.

Maybe I just got the worst room in the whole hotel but this is my experience. 1. Room's wifi connection is basically non-existent. Can't even load a simple YouTube video on the lowest resolution. Ended up relying on limited data for my work calls. Checked with the staff and they said that the wifi does have issues. 2. If you refer to the image here you have a rough idea that the rooms aren't very well maintained. This is also a danger hazard. 3. There is a bar right across the road. You can hear live loud and poor singing that goes past midnight. Not everyone here is a night owl, not everyone relies on bad singers as white noise to fall asleep.
