I do NOT recommend staying at Mama’s Home. We had multiple issues during our stay. We found our shower to have mold growing on the tiles and there was a heavy musty smell to the room. We were going to ignore this and not say anything. But then on our second day, we came back to take an afternoon nap to find repairmen working outside our door in the hallway. We tried to nap despite the noise and earplugs wouldn’t help. Then while in bed, the front desk woman opens our door and comes into our room despite us having the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. The repairmen were still there working when we checked out the following day. We tried to discuss our concerns the day of but no one was at the desk when we went up several times around 7:30 pm. We were disappointed in the hospitality here. We brought up our concerns with the front desk the next day and asked for some sort of compensation. They said they would message us later that day with a solution but never heard from them even after messaging them again. Disappointed because this was a good location but I recommend finding another place to stay. Not worth the hassle.

What a wonderful hotel and our "home" while we were in Rome. This was an absolutely the best place to stay. The rooms were large, clean and delightfully quirky. The location was outstanding as it was central to everything. Others have complained about the noise but our room was right above the restaurants and other than moving chairs, it was fine. What really set Mama's apart was the staff. Everyone was so warm and helpful! Enrica in particular was very helpful and thank you for making us a reservation at one of your favorite restaurants. We will be back!

I would have loved to give 5 stars to this hotel, because the location is excellent and the hosts are really friendly, but the main drawback for us was the paper thin walls between rooms. We were not too happy to hear all the yelling of our neighbors especially after midnight. The room was comfortable and really clean, although it's not your typical decoration. We had a nice view on the campo de Fiori market and the windows panels were extremely efficient to reduce the noise. Breakfast was a nice touch from the hosts, but don't expect to much : a cappuccino, an orange juice and an average croissant. You'll find better not to far around. Overall, if you're looking for a good price and a perfect location, you have a good option in this hotel.
