We recently concluded a stay at Mercure Zentrum Düsseldorf from December 30, 2023, to January 1, 2024. The hotel's advantageous location, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the shopping streets and the same time from a very nice wildprk, is it's best feature. Upon arrival, check-in was efficient, the staff was friendly, and the room, in line with Mercure standards, offered satisfactory amenities including coffee and tea. The hotel provides a convenient parking facility under the premises for 20 euros per night, which we chose over the free alternative across the street, considering the New Year's fireworks. However, our overall experience was marred by significant noise disturbances during the night, contrary to the promised "soundproof rooms" highlighted on Accor's website. This was particularly disappointing and led us to question the effectiveness of the hotel's sound insulation. In an attempt to address the inconvenience, the compensation provided (refund for one night of parking (20 euros)) seems inadequate, especially considering the total cost of the weekend stay amounted to just under 400 euros. On a positive note, the breakfast offerings were commendable, featuring a diverse selection of items ranging from bacon, meatballs, and scrambled eggs to yogurts, muesli, cornflakes, cheeses, and deli meats. However, the coffee from the machine left much to be desired, as it exhibited an unpalatable sourness, potentially stemming from an issue with the milk. Fortunately, this could be easily rectified with instant coffee. Adding to the drawbacks, the bathroom facilities were notably in need of renovation. Mold was pervasive in various corners of the silicone, and some areas lacked proper sealing, detracting from the overall cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations. While we departed contently with the perspective that "it could have been worse," the combination of noise disturbances and subpar bathroom conditions leaves us hesitant to choose Mercure Zentrum Düsseldorf for a second stay until improvements are made.

Stayed here for 3 day's (16 february untill 18 february). When I first came in the hotel, the cleaning lady wanted to clean the floor in front of the check-in desk and she was very annoyed that I came in to check-in exactly at that moment. She sighted irritably in my face and it was very rude. That was a very bad first impression of the hotel and also why I take of 1 star of the review. It was so bad. All the other staff was kinda nice but they keep staring too much and that's weird also. Not many parking spots tho, just a few that are free in front of the hotel. The hotel has it own parking space but is costs €20,- PER DAY! Extremely expensive for a service that should come for free as I'm already paying to stay in the hotel? Hotel and rooms were nice and clean and also good breakfast. Won't come back tho.
