Honestly did not enjoy my time here. There is something lacking in this hostel that you can't really manufacture - atmosphere. It seems like it was good maybe a couple of years ago, but everything seems a little neglected and at least when i was there, no one was very social. The rooms are nice, however being on the top bunk was difficult. The step ladder situation seemed quite dangerous and was difficult to climb up, as well as really noisy. Honestly would not come back

I traveled to Madrid alone. And I booked a 6-bed room for women. The room was clean. The behavior of the employees was good. Excellent access to all tourist centers. If I travel to Madrid again, I will book this hostel again.

tldr: don’t stay here if you can find any alternative. 1. during my stay, many teenagers were also staying here. they opened their window and they kept on smoking and partying in their room until 3am. even though i closed my window, i could still hear everything they were shouting since the windows are not sound proof at all. i was constantly woken up by the noise. 2. there’s no curtains for the bed or the window (broken curtain for the window). 3. there’s also mold in the room.

I would not recommend this hostel to anyone, especially groups of people, we had a really bad experience here. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and walked into our private rooms without knocking (including male staff walking into female only dormitories). They also would not allow our group to check in at different times despite having a 24 hour check in desk which they had previously advertised to us. My phone was also stolen while walking in the door of the hostel one evening, and the hostel did nothing to help regarding CCTV/contacting police. 5 people I was traveling with also had their phones stolen in the area around the hostel, so if booking be mindful of this. The windows also don’t close properly in the rooms so there is a lot of mould. It is also very loud as there is a nightclub which stays open until 5/6am across the road.
