This was a surprisingly great hostel. Ultra clean, great location and super friendly staff! I do want to mention that its not wheelchair friendly because there are only stairs to the dorms. Usually I wouldn’t notice something like that but there are actually a lot of stairs. The common area is pretty simple but really nice and clean!!! I will probably stay here again coming back to Kyoto 😊

Light, airy and very welcoming atmosphere. The staff (the young couple) were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They were always greeting and smiling. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very clean and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who want to go to Kyoto. 10 mins walk to togetsu bridge and other tourist attractions which mean that you can get there early in the morning or late in the afternoon when there’s not that many tourists.

I have very good experience here in 2 nights. The male young ower is very friendly. He tell me some good chekin points and the map as well, also how to go there with cheap plan. The furniture are clean, good. The ower introduced me ticket for hot-spring nearby with low price. It is a good buy again. Only one point that i do not feel goôd, even hostel reservation is done in agoda, when i check with the hostel on the phone, it was no information. So i have to reserver on- phone with more a little expensive (~1000¥)

This hostel raced to near the top of my personal best hostels in Japan list right away. It met all my standards for a hostel. Curtained off bunk bed space✔️ Kitchen space✔️ Towel provided✔️ Lock on dorm room✔️ Great price (this one was a bit lower than average ones I’ve stayed. Even though there are cheaper ones in Kyoto, it’s good for my nationwide average)✔️ Close to a station or other convenient transportation ✔️ Helpful staff ✔️ Very clean bathroom and showers (I may be lucky with this one because few people were staying at the hostel, so less mess. But it was very nice and clean)✔️ Extras: very stylish and welcoming space. Warm because it was cold out today. Toothbrush. The staff was the first thing I noticed about this place. She was so kind and helpful. Check-in was super smooth and she helped us get to the Arashiyama mountain entrance quickly to see monkeys before closing time. I was super impressed with her hospitality. I’d stay here again if I need a place in the area.
