SCAM ALERT! Avoid at all costs. We had a room booked for 23 July 2023. We received a message at 3pm on 22 July 2023, informing us that the rooms were near inhospitable as the air-conditioning was not working. This was less than 24 hours notice, even though there are google reviews from a week prior to this, saying that the air conditioning is not working. When I challenged the person on this, they played it off as if it was something unforeseeable and that they did not know about it, even though prior reviews would show that they did know about it. The person we were talking to offered us a 20% discount if we decided to keep our booking, or else we could cancel for free and try to get a room at a decent price with less than 24 hours notice. I also needed to pay fees to have all my transfers to and from the hotel updated to new addresses because of the extremely late notice, even though they could have given me notice 1 week prior. The person I was messaging became extremely non-chalant and started to act like this was somehow an issue that I needed to resolve, telling me that it’s my responsibility to contact Expedia and that it’s my responsibility to get the refund organised. I am yet to receive any refund and hold zero confidence that they will give me one. They know the ins and outs of the Expedia system and know that if they wait until after my reservation is meant to have started (the check in time) Expedia will let them keep the money. This is essentially a trap that they exploit. I also have complete confidence that they will reply to this review and put up some sort of half-baked defense telling me how it’s my fault and that they are just the poor business trying to help me out. Don’t fall for it. They are scamming people.

This place has excellent location and is honestly a really good place to stay if your visiting Rome for tourist attractions. It’s right in the middle off all of the famous sites and walking distance to most of them. It’s surrounded by a bunch of restaurants and shops . Room was clean and had a great view of the plaza. Francesca was awesome hosting us, she called in advance, texted us the parking info we needed (be careful you can only drive into the city on Sunday) and explained all the transportation and attractions info we needed. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Rome 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
