Key review: Quaint and acceptable accommodation if you only need a place to sleep, and maybe eat. It's key draw card is its location. More detailed feedback below. The location is why you would consider staying here. It's about an 8 minutes walk to the action at Shinjuku. There is also easy access to the west side business district. There is a family mart next door, and McDonald's across the road. My wife and I stayed 7 nights at the Nishitetsu Inn Shinjuku. We had no issues checking in at 1am, there was a bell boy who answered our buzzer call at the entrance. As expected, the room is small, but is liveable. We had two oversized luggages and we made do. Unfortunately, we were on a floor that allowed smoking, and so the smell is quite strong, even seeping into our bedroom carpets etc. Recommend you book a non-smoking room as I think you would then be placed on a non-smoking level which would make for a more enjoyable experience. There is a microwave facility, vending machines and coin laundry available on site, but don't expect your clothes to be fully dry after using the drier. We had to hang them up overnight to allow further drying. There is a female only floor which is nice for ladies who are travelling solo, but we didn't come across any shady characters in the precinct anyway. There are free toiletries etc. available in the foyer for guests to take which was nice. The hotel does not have an iron or iron board to press your clothes, but there is a press machine on level 10 but it did not have any instructions. The bed is firm, but could do with a plush topping as it can get uncomfortable. The pillows were OK, with some rice beads on the underside to provide support. Overall I slept average each night. There are ice machines and filtered water machines available in the microwave room which was nice too.

Clean, stylish, comfy and perfect location! Granted the rooms are on the smaller side but for solo travel or close couple it was perfect! Staff were friendly, breakfast was in an amazing little restaurant downstairs. 711 next door and twin station 10 minutes down the road it's perfect for a stay in Shinjuku!

This is a rather typical Japanese-style “business” hotel, which was originally meant to (and still is) cater to folks on a business trip. Rooms are small and sparsely decorated, but that’s exactly what you have to expect for staying in the prime location in Tokyo at a very reasonable price. The location really is perfect - close to both Nishi-Shinjuku and Shinjuku stations. There are three convinis right next door. My room was clean and enough for me as a solo traveler. There was also a small sofa and a desk, which were very helpful. I got a lot of work done during my stay. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was that my room was facing an office in the next building, and we could see each other so clearly because of the proximity! I had to close the curtain and the shaded windows at all times, which was disappointing because I wanted some natural light during the morning. I understand why because the primary clientele they target probably need to stay for sleeping. The other thing I’d like to see improved or reconsidered by the hotel management is about single-use plastic items. The hotel only cleans the rooms every other day for sustainability, but then they provide fresh towels everyday in a plastic bag left at your door! They also provide unlimited amenities (toothbrushes, razors, etc), which are all single-use plastic. I felt that kind of defeated the purpose of not cleaning everyday. I did enjoy staying here overall and will definitely consider coming back if I want to stay near Shinjuku.

Clean rooms and great service. Maintenance crews does agreat job. Self-service lockers for day use free of charge. Metro is less than five minutes away. Coffee shop with fresh made hot beverages and freshly baked pastries on site. Quiet area away the rowdy Shinjuku nightlife but only 15 minutes away from shopping areas, restaurants and entertainment. Safe area to walk late at night. 7 Eleven and FamilyMart next door.

Excellent hotel! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning the lobby areas of the hotel. They were very accommodating to my needs. The rooms were bigger than I expected (for what you would find in Japan). They were very clean, well maintained, and they provided several hangers. Free luggage storage lockers can be used before or after check in/out. This was amazing! Thank you for this! The hotel is also located a short walking distance from the Shinjuku station (very important) and the main downtown areas of Shinjuku. There is also a 7/11 right next door, 24 hour McDonalds across the street, and a little cafe at the lobby of the hotel. This was my first time in Tokyo and I couldn't have been happier with my experience staying at this hotel in Shinjuku.
