A well run large hotel in need of some upgrading but with nice quality wooden decor and good sized rooms. Good breakfast. Only the front rooms have balconies but those rooms are affected by the mobile street sellers with their unbelievably loud loudhailers.

So facilities are good, pool, breakfast, roof bar. Location is smack bang in the middle of naughty street. Staff have been great. But.....its a fun hotel I guess. Not seen girls brought back but sheets are stained, mattress protectors are stained. Long black hairs in the bedding. And I've been getting bitten. Initially thought it was prickly heat. Then found a flea. Just stripped back bedding and killed 3 of the little buggers. Am moving hotels.

I stayed at the Ohana for 5 nights in Jan., 2024 while on my bike tour of SE Asia. The staff was outstanding, very professional and helpful. I had a small suite, very nice room, excellentTV channels (many in English). Bed very comfortable. The shower could be better. The shower head would not stay in the shower holder on the wall, it just kept falling out of holder onto floor. The thing thing I didn’t like about the shower is there’s only a small towel rack on back wall, no place to hang any other towel. And with the half glass wall water sprays out of shower onto bathroom floor and hallway by door. Also the safe does not work as shown on instructions. Says to enter a code with 3-6 digits and press #. That never worked at all. Called front desk and a young man came up and said code is 123456#…huh?? I showed him what instructions said and he said no, code is123456 Which sometimes that locked the safe and most time that didn’t work either. Breakfast buffet was very good but is tailored more to non-western.

There was a very loud construction going on in the hotel. I thought it’s a temporary thing, but it was going on for 8 out of 10 days I spent in the hotel for many hours during the day. Also the room had ongoing smell every morning coming from the plumbing. When I asked for a partial discount due to obvious discomforts that were not mentioned earlier, they refused. I wanted to talk to manager but he/she was apparently “on a sick leave”. There are many other similar hotels around without this problems (Harmony, Riverside, etc).

The staff at this hotel is exceptionally friendly; it's hard to put into words just how delightful they are. There are two pools available: a small rooftop hot and cold pool and a spacious indoor pool on the ground floor. The gym is also well-kept and offers a variety of equipment. The rooms are generously sized, and I had a balcony that provided a nice view of the street. They are a little dated but clean and well maintained by the staff. This hotel is situated right in the heart of all the action, with the famous red-light district street just one block away. There's an abundance of cafes, restaurants, and attractions in close proximity. Overall, it's a highly recommendable and convenient hotel, and I definitely plan to return.
