This was a perfect spot to sleep while visiting the city. The room I had was tiny but i expected that. The view is spectacular with clear view of the Empire State Building. Quiet enough neighborhood and can’t hear city noise with windows shut. Room could stand a coat of paint but other than that everything was clean and worked. Bed was comfortable and didn’t smell like people.

we stayed two days at the hotel. The neighborhood is cool, animated by many bars, restaurants, shops. We were very well received. the rooftop of the hotel offers an incredible view. on the other hand the room is really small and not totally at the top level of cleanliness

Well, we were expecting to stay here for a quick crash in NY, but at 9:45 the night before our stay they emailed to say they didn't actually have a room for us. There was an unpleasant rigamaroll at 10:30PM trying to find a new place to stay through an external call center that asked us to give credit card info over the phone, which felt a little sketchy. They said they would book us at the nicer Ludlow Hotel around the corner and cover the difference in price, which was nice of them - the reason why this review is 2 stars instead of 1. I guess the moral of the story is to just stay somewhere else. Will update this review if we ended up getting scammed, which would add insult to injury.
