Very classic hotel, neat and clean! The problem only the wifi sometimes didn't reach my room.

Stayed here during a 3 night trip in Naples Starting with the Pros - The location is very convenient! One of the days we were here there was a transport strike (no trains or busses). Due to the central location of the hotel we did not feel too inconvenienced. Major tourist attractions are reachable on foot (10 - 20 mins) and lots of great restaurants. There is also a metro stop with direct connection to the main station and other popular stops under 5 mins walking distance away. There is also an Alibus stop (to get from the airport to city center) 5 minutes away. - the service is very friendly! At breakfast, at the reception; every day; everyone is very friendly! This makes the stay way more enjoyable, so great job to the staff for that! The toiletries were nice and seemed to be of decent quality. Breakfast was a decent size spread. Mostly sweet options but all the food tasted good. They also make you eggs as and when requested vs soggy buffet eggs. Now the negatives The bed wasn't comfortable and this was my main and a big problem for me. We had a double bed and it was on the harder side with a gap in the middle. Only 1 pillow and basically a another bed sheet which acted as a blanket. Since we visited here during feb we requested for a thicker blanket and they only provided us with an additional bed throw ( the part hotels usually put over the blanket as decoration). This was not only uncomfortable and rough to use but also i cant imagine its cleaned too often. Also the room is quite small and not soundproofed and close to other rooms in the building. So starting about 7 am, from our room, you could hear each and every single ding and dong of the elevator, other guests conversations and basically every other noise. So overall could not get very good night sleeps; which after a long day of site seeing is very important! This is the main reason for my lower rating Besides that some minor things.. - there was a small window which directly looked into another room; so privacy was a bit of am issue if you wanted to leave the curtain open - the amenities vs the rating of being 4 star. minimal amenities; no water kettle/teas etc. The bathroom was not bad but also not too “hotel style”. Tiny TV and i didn’t find the international ( english) channels. - on first entering the room i did find a hair on the bed and in the bathroom. -If you dont leave the little window open the room develops a musty/ stagnant air smell; so ventilation needs to be improved. Overall id say its not a bad hotel, but didn't seem like a 4 star to me, rather like a 3 star. They really need to do something to give guests a better sleep though (nice/ actual blanked and sound proofing) If i could i would give it 2.5/5. The main reason i would give it 3 vs 2 on the google scale is due to the friendly staff.
