We arrived late and check in was really easy. The room was clean and comfortable. We dropped a jacket on the way in and housekeeping returned it to the front desk. Marlene and the evening front desk person were great. Marlene helped us find our jacket and watched our suitcases after we checked out so we could walk around. Fantastic location with an incredible hand crafted donut/coffee shop Copper Top in walking distance. The pier and the beach walk are really fun! Thanks Marlene you made our stay delightful!👍❤️

I was looking this place up to recommend to a friend and realized I’ve never reviewed it. The hotel is clean, quiet, and safe. I’ve stayed here twice and each time was amazing. It’s such a great deal for the price and has been and will continue to be the only place I stay when I go to San Diego. Perfect distance to the beach for the price, perfect location because there’s so much to do around there, it’s clean and accommodating, and Mission Beach is just down the road. I live a 4-hour plane ride from here, but this place helps make traveling to SoCal so much more affordable (and enjoyable!) than a vacation much closer to home on the East Coast and staying in those overly priced, tourist-trap areas.

PB Surf Beachside Inn is an oasis on the beach. Where i stay in SD for business or vacation. Ask for Vanessa during the week to make your reservations she is the best! Rooms are clean, spacioius, comfy. Staff is great. Waking up to the ocean air & a stroll on the beach is my morning coffee. Lots of good restaurtants walking distance. I can't recommend it enough! Stay here when you're in SD!

I travel a lot for work and have been coming to PB Surf Beachside Inn once a month since 2021. And, I do not plan on staying anywhere else. First and foremost, Vanessa and her front desk team are great! Friendly, professional, accommodating and cool are words to describe the team. Service is an easy 5 stars... I would give more if it was an option. I cant say enough good things about the service at this hotel. The rooms I gave 4 stars but thats not a bad thing by any means. The rooms are what you think a beach hotel would be, simple, very clean, comfy beds, nice shower and desks to work at. Location is an easy 5 stars, I could throw a baseball from the property and hit the ocean. All in all, PB Surf Beachside Inn is my favorite hotel in all of San Diego. I look forward to coming down and spending a day or two every month
