While this resort is a little bit remote, it’s absolutely not a 45 minute walk to the city as some suggest; 15 or 20 minutes is more realistic. It is, however, at times a challenging walk with lots of hills up and down on small paths. The air quality in the rooms, however, and general cleanliness is a bigger problem. The rooms don’t get cleaned while you’re staying. There is a lot of dust and fungus everywhere, and I had an allergic reaction due to all the dust during my entire stay. Other guests were quite loud in the middle of the night, screaming their lungs out. Staff doesn’t seem to care about this. They have a bar with food, but the quality of the food isn’t great. There are much better restaurants a short 5 minute walk down the road. I wouldn’t particularly recommend this place to anyone.

We loved our stay here! The views were absolutely incredible, we could watch the sunset from our bed and despite other reviews I don’t believe this would have been the case all over the island. This resort is in a very special spot for that. The staff were so friendly and a good laugh too. The room was clean and comfortable. Great air con and we were given fresh bottled drinking water every day. The breakfast included was good and had a gorgeous view from the terrace too. Yes it’s a bit of a walk from the pier however the staff do come and meet you and carry ALL your luggage for you, they wouldn’t let us lift a finger. The walk is quite long (25 min) and lots of steep up/down along unclear and uneven paths, so if you’re not very fit and able it might not be the best place for you. For us it was fine, bit of a mission after a few drinks but we didn’t want to be right in the middle of everything and figured it was part of the fun. Take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, phi phi island is not a quiet one :)

Pros: absolutely gorgeous views from the lobby and the bungalow, and the staff was very kind. Cons: it’s a hike to get up there, and when you get to your bungalow, it is terribly hot and the A/C is very old and does not do the job. it’s usually colder outside than inside, just imagine. takes about 1.5 hours to get to a warm temperature in the room. + after getting quite a severe reaction from mold in the bathroom, we asked to check out early, and it was very hard to get a refund for that one night, and they even denied the presence of mold which was obvious.

Hotel overall okay, far from the beach and the centre with a very uneven pathway to walk down and up. It’s in the forest area so with that a lot of bugs and insects the room had gaps above the balcony door which made it a very easy access for any creepy crawly to get inside. But the staff were very friendly and helpful. And the views are amazing, lovely touch when eating your breakfast in the more looking over the island.
