I stayed at the pier house from a Monday to Friday. Pros: location. You couldn't stay anywhere better to be in proximity to Duval Street. Didn't need to rent a car because of this. I stayed in a room attached to the spa. The room looked like it had been updated in the past couple of years. This resort has a private beach, never had issues finding a chair or getting a towels, the beach bar is conveniently close. The food was fantastic here. There was hardly any kids here either. Spa was fantastic, purchased a couples massage. Cons: we had no help getting our luggage from check in to our room that was on the other end of the property, food and drinks are super overpriced (but so is everything else in kw), the roosters roaming the property are noisy, the bathroom in our room needed some TLC, it was kinda gross.

We decided to stay at the P.H. because we’d stayed there many years ago and had great memories. While the people are great and the location is fantastic, you can probably get a much nicer room for a similar price at one of the other “high end” resorts (Casa Marina). There were ants in our bathroom and the floors didn’t seem clean. Clearly, P.H. gets a lot of customers because it’s at the end of Duval and next to Mallory Square, but the room (waterfront) was tired and needed updating. Parking is ample and proximity to bars and restaurants is what makes this place good. For the money, there are much nicer places to stay!

The only star is for location and nothing else. Loud & Noisy.. Q: Why would a hotel put a bar DIRECTLY under the guests rooms?? And the bar being within the courtyard of guest rooms only AMPLIFIES the drunks babbling till midnight and loud music. AND, the hallways are within an atrium with no carpeting so when the housekeeping carts start rolling at 8:00 am you can only imagine the noise. 🤬 Especially since you were up till midnight waiting for the bar to close and the drunks to fall down, fall in the pool or find their room. Dirty & Dingy: The doors are so worn and warped that going in the rooms and within the rooms, you have to slam, pull, jerk them open and close. Gross hotel that should be torn down or, undergo 100% gut job renovation. Would never stay here again.

We returned to hotel after having such good memories. My husband having a terminal illness we wanted to make more wonderful memories, unfortunately I wished we hadn’t returned. We were given room 187 right next to the charted club bar. The noise from the bar with people right outside our balcony drinking and talking loudly was unacceptable. I like people enjoying themselves but not when it sounds like they are in my room. To make it worse the maintenance men start the clean up with leaf blowers at 12.30am!!! When we were paying over $1000 a night this is not what I expected. We took our French bulldog and the hotel charges a fee (expected) but promises on their website bed, bowls and treats. Absolutely nothing. Check in there were 3 girls on reception all busy talking, put the usual check in forms on counter and said sign. I had to ask questions as no information was forthcoming as they were busy in their own conversation. Not what you expect from a luxury hotel. Told my room was round the corner , no offer of help with bags etc I even told them my husband was waiting in car as he wasn’t very well. After having 3 sleepless nights we couldn’t wait to leave. Will not be returning not the memory I wanted to make before I do lose my husband.

This place is awesome! So relaxing and chill! Great private beach and pool area with private chairs! Staff was awesome!! The snorkeling right by the beach is decent. Many large parrot fish, sting rays, and tropical fish! Walking distance to hundreds of bars and restaurants! Sunset Pier is 3 minute walk and highly recommended for sunset! We were so pleased we spent a little but more and chose this resort over the other places we searched!
