The vibe of the restaurant was really nice - greeted by nice staff, nice wine, river views etc. However, the food was not really up to par. The pizza was not well-made with weird taste (maybe weird combination of ingredients?) and the oysters were not tasty. perhaps it’s a good restaurant for dates rather than for diners.

I recently dined at Popolo Dining and had a fantastic experience. I snagged a spot by the river with killer views. The food was exceptional. Highly recommend for both the scenic setting and the delicious menu.

We had an amazing time! The homemade pasta was good, and the entree was not just tasty but also looked beautiful. And the awesome view of the Brisbane River made it more special. This place sure knows how to serve up a good Italian meal.

The location and the view are amazing. This encouraged my husband to book a table for my birthday dinner last Tuesday. Unfortunately, there is nothing else I can praise. All the food was sub-par (Italian is hard to spoil but they managed to do it), both in the taste and the presentation. Many casual Italian restaurants without the price tag do it much better. The service was ok, neither good nor bad. Our waitress poured us tap water straight away without asking whether we would like sparkling. A glass of wine is $20 (?) but another waitress we asked about a specific wine on the menu didn’t have much to say. My birthday wasn’t acknowledged, though this is optional and I wouldn’t mention it if everything else was great. We finished our uninteresting starters and mains and left asap, not wanting to risk ordering desserts. Last but not least, I am pretty sure the seafood in my linguine was not fresh and as a result I was sick during the night and the following day. I recommend to avoid this place, or at least not to visit for a special occasion expecting a (positively) memorable time. Needless to say, I will avoid it myself.
