I had a terrible experience with this hotel in Tokyo. In my many years of visiting Japan, I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. However, this hotel was an exception. After checking out, they seemed to not care about their guests at all. They didn't offer any storage rooms for luggage, and the locker doors were unusable. When I asked for help with my luggage, they simply made excuses and told me that their hotel was different from others. Additionally, when I asked for a taxi to the airport, the staff suggested downloading a taxi app that was only available to Japanese residents, ignoring the fact that I was a tourist. While Uber was available, it was not widely used in Japan, so we had to hail a taxi on the street, which was difficult due to the cold weather and the presence of a pregnant woman in our group. The staff were not helpful at all and simply shrugged off our concerns. They even went so far as to comment on the small size of the hotel, which was irrelevant to our needs. I've never experienced meeting Japanese staff in hotels who showed attitude as well. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Seems like mostly local people from Asia and Japan? Not really for western tourists IMHO. You should be self sufficient. It’s not a place for tourists with big expectations, questions and needing a lot of help. You should be tech savvy as there is only a self check in and out kiosk process. Rooms are tiny and can be a little claustrophobic so you should be a small person and not large :) Just know that you will not necessarily get a room with all those windows in pics you’ve seen. Most rooms have just 1 window like mine. You cannot make requests for a floor or room preference because you will get whatever room the kiosk assigns when you check in. Please do not ask to change a room if you don’t like it. The luck of the draw. Rooms are tiny and better for 1 person. We are a couple…one person has to climb over the bed to get off because there is no space and the mattress is up against the wall. We had to take turns in the morning to get ready. The other had to go to the lobby and wait. Toilet area is small and separate from small shower stall. There are no outlets for charging in the lobby. You will get 4 hangers in the room. There are only 2 hooks where you hang the 4 hangers. Nowhere else to hang more than 1 wet towel or anything else. All of your clothes and things end up in a high pile wherever you can put it. It’s very bare minimum. Makes sense because the room is small. There is NO PLACE TO STORE LUGGAGE AFTER CHECK OUT because there’s probably not enough room for hotel to accommodate that. If you require that, go elsewhere. Our next hotel was a similar rate that was also 50% bigger and stored luggage both before and after our stay.

The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. But small, and there are no closets to hang your clothes! Just 4 hooks and hangers on the wall… I would have given more stars if it weren’t for the excruciatingly painful noise of the bathroom extraction fan which seems impossible to turn off. Automatic check in is very efficient , but no human contact 🙈. And it’s not that cheap of a hotel, for this price I’d expect better service. No help in calling for a cab, you have to do it all yourself. Main advantage: location and neighbourhood

It’s nothing luxurious but this hotel has everyone one needs. The rooms are clean. Great location just minutes walk from Ebisu station. Lots of good restaurants nearby. A 24-hour supermarket. Nice simple breakfast included too. Great service too!! The ONLY problem we have is that there are too few hooks and hangers. Only 2 hooks and 4 hangers in the room and we don’t know where to hang our wet towels in the bathroom area. Would’ve been perfect if you could add some more hooks. Will consider returning next time.

Clean and modern facilities and rooms. Loved the free extras that came with the hotel like the toothpaste, brushes, waters, and robes! I would give this hotel a 4.9/5. Delicious breakfast and perfect Tokyo location as well. The staff member who greeted us seemed slightly nervous and could of been friendlier but for the most part, I really enjoyed my stay! Thank you Ebisu, Prince Smart Inn. Would recommend this place to a friend.
