Quality Inn Brunswick

Booked 2 queens with a pull out. Once I got to the hotel to check in I let her know I had a service animal with me. She then preceded to change my room and told me it was because I had a pet. I had to tell her 4 different times the service animal was not a pet. She said she understood and the room was the same but on the outside of building. We went to the room and it was 2 double beds with no pull out. She clearly did this on purpose. So I went back to the desk and explained we booked 2 queens and a pull out. She said the hotel doesn't offer that. She then put us in a 2 bed double with a pullout and said it atleast had a pull out and was ok for dogs to be in that room. I then again explained to her that it was a service animal and not just a pet being brought in. It was very clear this didn't matter to her. I paid for the room and ended up leaving the next day. The hotel then proceeded to run my card for a 25 dollar pet fee after we left. Not only is that illegal but says alot about this hotel. I will be making a complaint with the state of Georgia and looking into other options to bring light to the actions of this hotel. This wasn't a mistake. It was done intentionally. Very shady place. I hope it was worth 25 dollars to them. Update: 31 Oct 2023 My service animal is indeed a service animal. She was trained to complete tasks and was provided to me by Operation Battle Buddies. They trained her for over a year and she completed all requirements of the program. Emotion support animal was never mentioned. You as the staff do not get to make the determination if a service dog is a service dog or emotional support animal just because you want to try and charge a fee. You just made yourself look worse. You now look stupid. I hope that every Active Duty/Veteran reads this and makes sure not to do any business with your hotel. Good try on the emotional support animal part though. I just don't think it's going to work out how you had hoped.
