Had a lovely clean twin room with a balcony window looking over the river. First time stay here and would definitely stay again. Comfy bed and quiet room. Breakfast good and friendly team kept up with topping hotplates. Could do with another coffee machine as it is rather slow. Manager visible in the foyer or other member of staff on hand making sure guests are happy with their stay. Complimentary mulled wine was very welcome after an afternoon in the rain. It was a long walk to our room and missed the sign for the lift we needed. We were not the only ones confused so maybe worth added another one at the end of the long corridor and then had to get another lift. If you struggle with walking may be worth contacting reception beforehand to make sure room not at the far end of the building.

Amazing experience! Perfect example of what a Hotel should be. Rooms very clean and view was crazy. Very friendly and helpfull staff, drinks in the Paddle Room was simply delicious, especially cocktails. Only 5 minutes walk from the city centre. We have been welcomed from John, the General Manager, who helped us with checking in and gave us some important advices about what to do in town during our trip. Highly Recommend this hotel to everyone who visits York. Will be back for sure!

The hotel is based in quite a rough area I must admit and the outside of the hotel looks quite run down and unpleasant. The car park is also a bit rough and the width of the spaces are so inconsistent with some giving almost the width of disabled spaces and some others barely fitting the car in. I found the parking process a little confusing at first because I didn't expect to be able to just enter the car park and get a ticket as you would any other car park. I thought I would have needed my hotel card or something so I parked outside the hotel and ran inside to check-in with the hope of getting a hotel card to get into the parking. Upon entry, the foyer was lovely I must admit, I encountered the self service check-in stations which one of the required fields was my "Room Number". As you can imagine since I had not yet checked in I was baffled at what to do but turns out after speaking to the concierge it is my booking reference number rather than my room number. Anyway, I parked the car and that was that. The room was lovely. Modern, cozy and clean. Air con / heater was also nice to have. Even with all the lights on it was still quite dark to be fair so somewhat difficult to do some things. The bathroom was very nice too with a 5x magnification mirror (great for contact lens wearers) and a heated mirror. Big fan of the rainfall shower head. I did try to dispense some shampoo though and the nozzle just fell off which wasn't ideal as seen in the pictures. Overall, great room and service. The experience was a little rough though

Stayed here for one night mid December. Great location! Literally a 5 min walk over the bridge to the centre. They have covered parking, 51 spaces, first come first served and we got a space, which was great. £18 for the night and it didnt expire until midnight of the day we left, so we could still go out and explore if we wanted. Check in was easy, staff friendly, water and apples in reception. Room was very spacious, coffee, tea, sugars and milk provided, as well as toiletries. Bathroom door didn't shut very well as had swollen at the bottom from water damage and could hear other guests next door and outside at times. There was also green lights from the air con control and another box overnight, but otherwise it was lovely. Nice river view too. Would recommend and stay again.

This was our first vist to the Radisson..... It looks great on entry and I was looking forward to our 4 day stay. I was disappointed with a few things... £15 per night to park.! King-size bed consisted of 2 singles being together, which were not to comfortable. Also there was blood on the bottom of the quilt cover!! ( I have a photo) Ordered a meal with room service, the chips were cold and hard. The evening ended with a party with staff from another hotel I think went on until midnight, When I phoned to ask what the noise was and that we couldn't sleep. We were offered to be moved!! To moved at that time of night was impractical. The most enjoyable was the breakfast and the manager was very very nice. Sadly this did impact on our stay. A very sad customer. 😪
