Beautiful location for a hotel. Nestled in between the mountains, the hotel is surrounded by a lot of gas stations right off of Trans Canada Highway. The rooms were ok size, and the beds were comfortable and not backbreaking. The breakfast was decent, not a lot of vegetarian options, although their muffin was surprisingly healthy. The staff was really courteous and accommodating. I would probably stay with them when I am in Golden.

The Ramada golden is a nice basic hotel. It has a very comfortable lobby. And the hotel is basically clean and the rooms are also very nice and clean. They get an extra point because the service was particularly friendly and very helpful upon check-in. On the downside, the breakfast dining area is very small, cramped and dark. I heard several people complain, and I can’t say that I blame them. I chose not to have my breakfast in the rather uncomfortable room. But that said the hotel is a nice one for traveling, and there are several decent restaurants nearby. The hotel also has a very nice view of the mountains, although if you want a quieter evening, I suggest you get a room on the side away from the freeway. There are many large 18 wheel trucks that come through all hours of the night, and you hear them easily at in the hotel. Push comes to shove I would be open to trying the Ramada Golden again.

The room seemed nice enough but the carpets were really dirty. We have a crawling infant and his cloths were so dirty after crawling about for 5 minutes. Had to change him and bathe him. Didn't get breakfast either. It was too busy so we went away and came back later at which point they had closed the dining room. Not good when it cost over $300 for one night.

First class prices, third rate accommodations. The walls in this hotel are paper thin. You can hear every step in the halls outside your room, you can hear every step your neighbour directly above you takes. A reminder to stay in a concrete structure vs wood frame, but even for a wood frame they have nothing to deaden the sound between floors and between walls. Service is good, and rooms are clean, but when I’m angry because I can’t sleep, that’s not enough. This reflects on the owners, not on the friendly and helpful staff. There is also the poor, inconsistent internet connection. Internet was sometimes dropping, and didn’t get much over 5mbps when it was working.
